Death Note is probably one of the best anime's I have watched. However, even though the first part of the anime could arguably go down as the best episodes in anime history, the later part is a disappointment. The story seemed like it was dragged on and the whole mind games just seemed to continue endlessly without any purpose.
The anime had a unique start to it and you get hooked to it and the very first episodes. The constant excitement kept the anime interesting and enjoyable.

Probably one of the most bizarre manga i have read so far. The number of unnecessary plot holes and the strange ending ruined the story. At one point it seemed like the manga just kept dragging on. After a great start to the story, it went on a constant decline.
Even though the art style was pretty good, the characters themselves were not well written. The constant back and forth of them discovering their true love and not being able to completely understand where their true emotions lie took too long.
