"You might be able to do it if you try. But if you don’t try, you definitely can’t."
Guilty Crown is an anime about a boy who is exposed to this "God Power", and suddenly has the power to take voids out of people. This boy, Shu Ouma, has a difficult time when it comes to people. He was the only one with the God Power; therefore, he had to decide whether he should fight to help humanity or sit back and hide his power.

plague, something is harming the humans' lives, and then suddenly a "normal" boy is granted the power to save humanity. So you could definitely say "cliche", BUT not all cliches are bad. I am not saying this entire anime is made up of cliches because it isn't. The story is intriguing, and it does a pretty decent job at keeping you on your toes. However, in the story, there were plot holes and eventually things just started piling up. Sometimes, too much can be a bad thing. Whereas a lot of anime tends to not have enough, this anime might have a little too much. Ill mention only one plot hole that left me questioning a lot of the story. Inori's singing has the ability to heal people of their cancer...why? How is it that Inori has the ability to heal people with her singing, and ONLY her singing. There were other things in the story that just makes you want to pull your hair out. Some might say that is a bad thing, others might say that is a good thing. I know a lot of the "pulling out hair" things made me want to keep watching it, just so I could see if it ended up like the way I wanted it. Overall, the story is decent, but it could either use a few tweak here or there.
Art: The art in the anime was compelling, though at times it made my teeth grind a little. It has interesting battle sequences, considering a lot of the battles involve a bunch of shiny, rope like things flying in the air. The characters were nice to look at, and there was not an INSANE amount of Fan-service so that another good factor. I say not an insane amount, but there was still a good bit. The art in this anime definitely tops other anime I have seen, and is on the list along with SAO and anime like that without great art.
Sound: So this was the best part of Guilty Crown. Okay, okay, okay. So maybe not the BEST part, but it was no doubt one of the major factors why, I personally, enjoyed Guilty Crown. The opening song for this show, the first opening song, was the best I have ever heard, and when I say best...I mean BEST. I love it so much that I have already downloaded it onto my phone so I can hear it. Other than the first opening song, the other music was pretty normal. The songs Inori sings throughout the anime were a little higher on the chart than normal music, but it did not really stand out as much as the opening song.
Character:
- Shu Ouma: Shu Ouma is our main character. In the beginning it is shown how he has a hard time communicating with other people around him, but only a few times. It is mentioned a lot, but not really shown(to me that is) that much. He has a tendency to want to please people too much, and his kindness takes over. One factor that I really liked was when he got the power, he did not turn into some all mighty person right away. It took time, and mistakes for him to turn into the man he was by the end of the anime. However much I liked Shu, there were times that I just wanted to be like "Really Shu? Really? What the heck man." If you watch the anime, you will understand what I am talking about.
- Inori: Inori is a beloved friend that Shu had throughout the series. She is a somewhat famous person for her singing. While she seems like a weak, shy girl on the outside, on the inside she can really kick ass. She loves Shu, and Shu loves her. Though I dont remember hearing Shu say he loved her, I am sure he did. Even in the end, when Inori was turning into a "monster" she was STILL fighting for Shu.
- Gai: Gai is a character that if you do not watch the anime, you will not understand when I say I am confused. There were times where I loved Gai, and then there were times when I wanted to SLICE HIS NECK, but that might be just me. Throughout the entire anime, Gai, is considered a man of many talents. Then in the end he takes a drastic change, and "evolves". For more on Gai...Watch the anime. This character might be confusing at times, he is still interesting and makes you want to keep watching(at times just for him).
Enjoyment: The show was very enjoyable, but at times you did question whether it got a little out of hand. When you add all the elements of the show you might get a little bored. There was one time when I was a tiny bit bored, but that disappeared quickly. Guilty Crown does a good job at keeping you on your toes or edge of bed.
Overall: Overall, this anime was good. At times you pull your hair out, and then your pulling a tissue out to cry. It pulls at your emotions a lot throughout it, not afraid to make the people mad or sad. The art and sound of the anime were very compelling. The characters were not too bad themselves, but nothing that jumps out.
Do I recommend? Yes!
Numbers? Where are my numbers?: In my reviews, I personally, do not like the use of numbers. I feel like the use of numbers takes away from the overall review. That the individual will completely ignore the review, and just look for the numbers. Sorry if you are one of those people.

I personally really enjoyed this anime! This review is not to change your mind on whether you hate it or love it. It is to give MY overall opinion on it, so that is what I will do.
Story- Personally, coming from a gamer's stand point, I enjoyed the story very much. Being able to play a virtual reality game, being able to smell, touch, hear, and see things that you normally would not be able to in real life is just amazing! That is what really gets the story going for me. Then they bring in a character that knows almost everything there is ... Nov 20, 2013

If you have come here because you were told this is a romance anime, well then you should flip back to the anime screen because this is certainly NOT a romance anime. However, one thing this anime does do good at (in the love department/romance) is that it leaves little hints that make you think something is going to happen, therefore, you continue watching it. The story is pretty average I'd say, nothing really stands out, but it does not good to boring. The best thing this anime has going for it is that it makes you laugh almost every episode. It never gets really
