This was seriously an amazing watch! I really didn't expect to find something like this and enjoy it this much. I genuinely made a great choice when I decided to check out this anime after watching a clip from it. I seriously recommend it to people who are okay with - and perhaps even interested in - watching a practically immoral love + life evolve from a twisted point of view. I don't recommend it if you're just here for the horror and murder, though.
Story: 8/10
I really love the story. Even though it's a little predictable and over-focused on a few supporting characters in the
...
beginning, the story is still definitely enjoyable and interesting. The most fun part was watching what goes on and how each of the characters - especially our yandere protagonist - handles everything. Everything flows well and logically, too, although dramatized with a couple of loopholes. It makes you sit on the edge of the seat, perhaps conflicted on who you want to cheer for, and curious or nervous as to what happens next. I really love the impact of a specific few scenes, too. Also, I especially really love how uncomfortable this series can make you feel. I couldn't help but squirm in discomfort a few times in response to some things, but that's what really adds to the fascinatingly disturbing aspect of Happy Sugar Life.
Art: 8/10
The art also really captures the original manga art style well! It's also really cute and appealing to look at, adding to the false image of softness and cuteness to the story's tone - while also making the darker aspects interesting in a way. It really helps capture the "appears soft and happy but dark and horrible beneath the surface" tone. The art does still set me off a little, though, mostly with how slightly wonky and moe-y it looks sometimes. Like with some things looking a little unrealistic (like Satou's hair, I love it but the way it's often drawn looks unnatural from an artistic perspective), and the moe style simply setting me off a bit. I do love it on a few characters and all, but I can't help but be off-put by how it looks on the boys and Shouko.
Sound: 7/10
Sound's really nicely incorporated into the overall story, especially during the more suspenseful and "bitter" moments. I really like the opening, too, as it's catchy and seems to fit the anime perfectly. I'm pretty meh with the ending, though, despite still liking it. The overall sound also could've been better, as I feel it still lacked a bit in impactful storytelling - but I'm sure it must've connected to other people more than it did with me, anyway. I still find the overall sound to be good, too.
Character: 8/10
I love the characters! Almost all of them are so nicely developed, surprisingly even Asahi and Shouko - character archetypes that you'd expect to be used as flat characters literally only there to become murder victims. Shio's really nicely developed, too, despite often being painted as the cute, innocent, sweet love interest who's being protected and fought over all the time. It's a very nice surprise, to be honest- mostly since I feel like most yandere stories don't properly develop anyone aside from the yandere character (and/or the love interest). Even Satou doesn't just senselessly kill for love - she's much more complicated than that and goes about with things in various, yet still questionable and immoral things. My only issue, though, is with how many insane and immoral characters there are in the cast in contrast to the actually sane and normal ones. It feels incredibly unrealistic to have so many insane characters around someone like that, although I did have to remind myself multiple times that it may be for dramatizing's sake. It's interesting to see how each character is insane in a different way, yes- but I still wish there were a little more normal and sane characters in the cast that aren't just there in the background, like the white-haired cafe worker. On the other hand, though, maybe it's done like that on purpose so that there's all the more charm in Shouko's character....
Enjoyment: 9/10
As somewhat mentioned already, I really really enjoyed watching this anime. It was really exciting watching the disturbing story unfold while making me conflicted on who to cheer for and sympathize most with. It's really different from other animes and mangas I've come across before, and I love it. It's really a whole new taste of a series. Of course, I know there may be other series out there similar to this, but- nevertheless, it's not that common to come across a series with an immoral (+ lesbian) couple, well-developed side characters, and a twisted main point of view. That really excites me as a person who enjoys reading stories and characters from such unusual and psychotic perspectives.
Overall: 8/10
Overall, as stated already - I think this anime is awesome. 8/10 in my opinion. I do wish more people would know about this and find it as good as I do, though. Regardless, though, I do look forward to reading more in the manga! I'm excited to see what else happens after this anime's ending.

Okay, this season was SO worth the watch. I was hooked almost all the time.
While practically almost everything was great, what I loved most about this season was pretty much about the characters: the valuable characterizations, relatively even attention onto characters, also good attention onto characters that we didn't get to see much of in the first season, the way Re:vale was introduced and included a sufficient amount of times, just- yes.
It did feel a bit too wild with the cliche everything's-somehow-connected/it's-a-small-world kind of trope, but nevertheless, almost every single bit made sense. Even though the first season already made the characters feel
...
like real humans with feelings and struggles, the season season really made it feel like that all the more. It was truly a valuable, emotional ride.
The voice-acting was extra good, too! Especially during the heart-breaking parts. Sometimes I'd even only get really emotional and start crying because of how i can sense how strongly the characters feel by their voices alone. The actors really did an exceptional job with such moments. Riku and Tamaki's voice actors are honorable mentions (though all of them did very well).
The way songs were embroidered into the anime felt even better, too! Not too little, but also logically and flowing well. Not to mention, I like the songs in this season quite more than I do in the previous season. They're more enjoyable to listen according to my tastes, and they have lovely lyrics that feel like they match with their respective stories all the more. Especially the general ending itself, like damn, I'm really in love with it and its pv. I'm going to miss seeing it at the end of each episode.
I definitely would recommend this season to anyone. Again, it was really worth the watch, so I can't help but do hope more people get to watch this!

Even as a friend of mine told me that this series was good, I didn't expect The Promised Neverland to be as good as it turned out to be until after I started watching it. I didn't expect to become so absorbed into this, either... The Promised Neverland really did excellent in surpassing my expectations - both for this anime and myself - and providing amazing quality content. I certainly would recommend this to anyone with similar tastes or anyone who likes the show's genres.
Note: slight, minor spoilers mentioned
Story: 9/10; First of all, I love how unique this story is. While there certainly still are
...
elements that are cliché, the story overall is well-written and engaging to the point where the cliché elements honestly barely matter. I won't describe every general bit I like about the storytelling due to there being too many (plus some of them are difficult to describe), but one of my most favorite and notable bits about the story is how well it manages to portray and provoke emotion. It really reels you in with a hitched breath, along with allowing you to really feel with the characters and keep wanting to see what happens next in the story. Even getting me, a person who don't usually feel that deeply with the story nor characters, to feel this way to a surprising degree. I should also mention, too, that the story somehow does a good job with making the story a bit more unpredictable than you'd think it to be. Of course, it is still predictable to a degree, plus does commonly only table-turn from smart characters. Still, it is notable to mention that the story feels less predictable than many other stories of its kind are - and even vaguely yet nicely establishes the fact that no one's truly safe as well.
Art: 8/10; The art is also honestly gorgeous and wonderful for the most part. The eyes are absolutely lovely and fitting, no one looks awkwardly drawn to an excessive amount, and - very especially - the little symbolic and metaphoric details illustrated here and there are absolutely wonderful. Very especially in the opening and ending, too - I was surprised to see the amount of recognizable figurative language in them. Fortunately, the opening and ending managed to balance and apply their uses of figurative language very well on top of that as well! It was so so great - I came to absolutely love observing the illustrative details in the opening and ending each and every single time (which also ended up being more worth it than i thought itd be since i'd occasionally find a new little detail while staring through). On a different side note, however, the general art and animation of the anime HAVE looked a bit awkward from time to time anyway. Sure, no one and nothing was truly illustrated awkwardly in the end, but- there would be times where the faces looked sliightly too awkward, or when the animation would be sliightly too unsmooth. Still, times like that aren't too notable, so they can just be mostly overlooked. There's also how the series do a wonderful job at drawing everyone with unique appearances (including faces) and making everyone actually look their age. Even the younger versions of the adults were drawn realistically and well, while also still certainly resembling them to a realistic extent.
Sound: 9/10; I also adore the usage of sound in this anime. Starting off from the opening and endings: both of their songs are BOTH really great songs AND really suitable songs. Of course, though, the opening can still be a bit debatable, since it gives off more of a shounen action vibe. Still, I think even that's genuinely suitable as well, as it just somehow seems to capture some of the different vibes and emotions the story gives than it would seem to at first glance - or well, first listen. The opening even manages to capture those vibes and emotions while maintaining a fitting "opening vibe" as well. It's not that easy to hear in the beginning, though, but it just felt more and more like that as I progressed through the anime. The first ending, too, is an even more wonderful case. The way the instruments play together along with the animation, and the way the music flows combined with the vocals.. All of it just somehow seems to capture the troubled, tragic, desperate, pained, and yet determined emotions from the story so well. I relish it so much. It's enough to make me slightly shiver as i stare on, absorbing the powerful combination of the animation, art, and music that so fittingly wraps up each episode. I even came to miss it when the anime suddenly changed into a different ending, although the second ending turned out to be pretty good as well. Speaking of that, however, I don't think it captures the story's vibes as well as the opening or first ending at all - but the second ending still does a good job with providing beautiful music that at least illustrates the sentimental vibes from that one specific event and the main adults' tragic sides. As for other sounds, they're excellent as well. Sound effects are used accordingly and realistically, there's barely any excessive unnatural anime-exclusive reaction sounds (i think), and the voice acting's good and even exceptional on suitable occasion.
Character: 8/10; As I started this, I was hoping for well-written and realistic characters - and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Sure, the characters are a bit tropey, and sure, the kids are slightly too mature and smart for their ages - but overall, they're all written well-enough to where they both generally suit their ages and are realistic/logical enough. Even if the adults often came off as a bit too villain-like at first, they were still written well-enough to where they were still within logical boundaries and able to mix well with their pasts and deeper characterization. It is a bit disappointing, though, that all of the kids other than the main 5 and Phil were barely given any actual screentime and characterization. Phil was barely given any characterization until later, too, which didn't pair well with his odd amount of screentime. So although I like and care for all of the kids, I still know that those kids can honestly be easily brushed off as flatly-characterized irrelevants to other people. I do hope to see the kids get more screentime and characterization in the next season.
Enjoyment: 9/10; As I implied a couple of times earlier, I significantly enjoyed this anime quite more than expected. Instead of simply enjoying it and giving this a typical 7 out of 10, even, it really came to the point where I was always essentially at the edge of my seat while often adoring the anime and its opening/ending to an unusual amount. I don't really regret focusing on this whenever watching it, either, even when i feel a bit bad having had left some people hanging or fooled in text for portions of time as a result.
Overall: 9/10; With everything in mind, The Promised Neverland certainly deserves a 9/10 from me. And I don't say that all too lightly, either, as I'm a person who really don't rate any animes higher or lower than 7/10 that often at all. So, again, this is a series I would certainly recommend to anyone who may like this sort of thing.
(By the way, I'm sorry if I said anything confusing,, I tried my best to explain my complicated and abundant thoughts well, but I'm aware that there are still some odd and easily-confusing bits in my review. I'm also sorry if I wrote too much, and if either one of these factors discouraged you from continuing to read this review. Still, I'm sure the general gist is at least clear,, Now- please do consider watching this anime or reading its manga source if you haven't done either one yet!)

After watching Citrus, I think I can understand why several people think this isn't a good anime. However, I personally believe it's actually very good, aside a few parts of it.
The story sets off and proceeds rather smoothly. Yes, it was a cliche direction, but it was mostly natural-feeling nevertheless - aside from Mei's unusual sexual assaults of Yuzu in the beginning, which could very easily be interpreted as fetishized fanservice (which I believe COULD be that, but is really mostly involving Mei's oddness instead). The progress of the girls' relationship after that is nicely paced as well, unlike many other romance anime paces out
...
there - one of the things I appreciate and love most about Citrus. After a while, though, the story started adding what felt like unnecessary love rival (or what I like to refer to as "cockblock") arcs. Not to mention, the entire anime - from beginning to near end - is overall clogged with an unnecessary amount of sexual assaults and kisses (likely the main factor that causes several people to dislike Citrus). Sure, they don't happen 24/7, but- They still happen frequently enough to where it can easily grow a bit uncomfortable for those who don't find pleasure in watching sexual assaults or incest in anime like most hentai watchers do. There's also how the unmorality of stepsister romance wasn't brought up enough for some reason - almost as though people in the anime generally thinks it's ok while the irl general society actually doesn't think so. It WAS brought up a few times, though, so I guess that's alright. No hate towards the incest, though- I just like a bit of realism being shown regarding it. Still a 7/10 for the story, though.
The art is also actually quite good. Even though it's still kinda lacking in expressiveness, Citrus did a bit of a better job in conveying emotions and makeup in the characters' visages than most other animes do. It's surprising to find expressions with visible subtle emotions and makeup, honestly. Like- with slightly sad expressions in Citrus, not much change is made to them. Yet, you can TELL that there's some hidden sadness within them. Makeup is actually there without looking weird, too. Thank goodness for that, since it would be weird to go through another anime that claims some characters wear makeup and some don't when they both don't/do seem to have any on. The main characters do actually look quite pretty as well, and the hair's nice to stare at. The art can sometimes be slightly unpleasant to look at, though, simply due to my personal preferences. Overall, 8/10.
I also think the sound effects were done quite well, though the music is alright. I mean, the quality of the music is fine, but the music is not that much to my taste. Still a 7/10 for me, though, since I still like it alright.
The characters were also what I enjoyed most from this anime. They really make up for the ok plot, and are essentially why the general story was rather good. Yuzu, for one, is a refreshing change from the anime protagonists I'm used to seeing. She's really just a normal, preppy girl who at first wants a boyfriend. That part of her was nicely demonstrated; not too exaggerated and shown nor too pushed away. Even better, Yuzu has a realistic mix of outgoingness, kindness, denseness, insecurities, understandingness, impulsiveness, and impatience. I mean.. aside from how ridiculously dense she was being during Matsuri's arc, and how slightly too dense Yuzu was during Sara's arc (even though it's completely forgivable) anyway. Mei has a nice and complicated personality, too, involving emotions and thoughts swirling within her that speak more than a "cold, cool" personality. Mei DOES feel a bit too "cold/cool" and unpredictable, though. The other characters are pretty good, too, including Matsuri - whose existence I honestly hated at first until I realized how deep her characterization actually was. It's too bad the anime didn't show the characterization more clearly, though. 8/10 for characters.
Overall, I rather enjoyed this anime. Not by much, but I still enjoyed it. I doubt I would ever re-watch this due to the annoying "cockblock" arcs (and how I rarely rewatch any anime series in the first place), but I'll still definitely consider going to the manga and manga sequel Citrus+.
So would I generally recommend this anime? Sadly no, purely due to the excessive amount of sexual assaults and kisses in it. However, Citrus is still a very good anime to check out if you like yuri with proper development (excluding, well, yeah, even though they're not that bad) and characters. The manga might be a better place to go to, though, since its rating is better and might follow the trend of source-being-better-than-anime-adaption.

To be fair, this is both a really good and simply decent anime.
It DID feel amazing at first, though. It's just that it felt kinda bad over time.
Now to go into details-
(warning, tho; there's sort-of spoilers in here)
The story is actually rather neat. Not the most creative, but a bit creative, still. The most exciting parts about it are what involve the future diaries, and how diary users are more into the killing than you'd expect they would - each due to a different, reasonable reason. I really hate how it was favoring Yukiteru and Yuno way too much, though. Even Minene and
...
Kusou got a bit too much screentime in comparison to the rest of the diary users - more so towards Minene (even though I am constantly grateful over the amount of development she was given). Like,,, its excess favoritism over the main team is what began to kill my enjoyment at one point in the first place. It's literally just excess screentime for them - very especially Yukiteru and Yuno - as they soMehow avoid dead end after dead end and kill off another diary user almost each episode. No offense, but it just felt stupid and repetitive at one point - and stayed that way for quite a while afterwards, too. I kind of dislike the random romance scenes shoved in now and then, too. Like they felt natural at first, but then,,, at one point, it was like- one minute we're screaming and magically dodging and trying to kill, next minute yuno's blushing and we're having a cute, peaceful yukiyuno moment with sweet music playing. there's a particular scene that was over-dramatized, too, since it didn't feel like it changed the future THAT much. like yes, quite a bit, but not so much that the big deal made out of it had to be THAT big. it's just what i personally think, though.
For the art, the art style's quite nice! Nothing looks too awkward (aside from boobs a few times), and it has a slightly unique touch to it. The way it smoothly inputs different facial expressions are very great, too, since the unusually expressive expressions really help in portraying emotions. The color of the blood is very nice, too. Furthermore, animation's often quite smooth. It's only awkward during a few times that doesn't demand much movement at all.
For sound, there's no complaints from me about it! It's all nice and clear, and the music's pretty nice, too! Not the catchiest and best, but the lyrics are actually quite good. Often fitting and involves different themes that isn't just the typical love song. I personally find the first opening and ending catchy, too, though only after many hearings.
For character, I definitely praise the character designing! I don't care what everyone else says; I personally believe almost every character in this anime was good. Even Yukiteru. But even the characters I considered pretty bad were still likable. Somehow, almost each character is created quite well to where they feel like proper human characters with their own complexities. Yuno, especially, who - while feeling a bit more fictional due to how unusual she is - is developed in such a good way that it still feels as though she's still a human with real complexity in the end. Not just some fictional character who obsesses over one boy and kills all the time. Yukiteru felt like a genuine person, too. Sure, he's based on the typical stereotype of bland-dark-haired protagonist, but Yukiteru ended up being developed in a way where he really felt like a real boy with emotions, personality, and etc. He was the one I related to most for almost the entire time, too. I adored him as the protagonist for quite a while. The rest of the diary users and friends were too underdeveloped, though... They were still great characters, don't get me wrong. Just that they were given way less screentime than they deserved,,, tbh, I wish the series at least expanded on them more.
For emotions, i think the series did pretty well portraying and provoking emotions - especially in comparison to many other animes out there. probably largely due to the expressions and human-like characters. as a result, i can feel some of the characters' sorrow even during cliche and cheesy scenes (though part of that is also due to how the scenes are built-up and written as well).
But I still did rather enjoy this anime. Especially during the beginning and end. Sure, it wasn't the best anime, but it was still quite good. So overall, I rate this a 7. And would I recommend it? That... largely depends... but probably slightly on the no side in general. Just because of how it is, despite the satisfying quality of the characters.

Despite how silly and non-serious the title sounds, A Good Day to Be a Dog is actually quite a well-written romance and fantasy-related story. It's honestly surprising that a writer inexperienced (and formerly hostile) in the romance writing field wrote this. All of the characters, especially Hana and Seon, are nicely developed with realistic personalities - even when they're still very slightly cliche and 2D-feeling. The story advances quite well, too, considering how simple the plot is. Seon and Hana actually get to know and fall for each other at a good and reasonable pace, reflecting realistic paces in romance instead of the popular quick
...
ones in some romance stories. Hana and Seon's love rivals are even established with proper and complex personalities, so that they genuinely feel like different people instead of mere cockblocks. Even Hana's main love rival, who was being a bit stereotypical and annoying at first, soon showed more to her personality (even though not as clearly as I would've liked it to be). Bogum, too, was eventually brought out of the one-trait hole to demonstrate a complex personality of his own. Ahhh. I wish the story felt less cheesy, though. Even though the story and emotions were realistic, it was all rather hard for me to genuinely connect with - and this is coming from someone who's dealt with prolong and similar-ish romantic drama before. A Good Day to Be a Dog is still enjoyable to read, though! Definitely one of my favorite webtoons.

This is actually a really good webcomic! Its main theme is actually friendship for once, so we get to see many heartwearming, sad, funny, and etc moments as we watch Nari befriend and grow closer with the pretty girls. Everyone's personalities are developed nicely and feel real, too! Even the background characters and mean antagonists are designed to be like real people, walking around with complex and not-entirely-bad personalities. The art is pretty nice, too! Awkward at first, yes, but it DOES improve later on - and it does eventually become good, to where it gives justice to Yuna, Seongji, and Mirae's "beauty," too. Speaking
...
of their beauty, it's really great that their appearances are not the only things established about them at all. In fact, the beauty honestly just becomes a side trait that isn't excessively and senselessly emphasized, especially later on. We progressively get to know them as genuine girls with their own personalities, backstories, and everything, instead of only ever seeing them as simple swans that don't have much personality aside from brattiness or whatever.
Even after the main plot is done with, the new plots and stories that follow are always interesting enough to still read with enjoyment. Which is- obviously hard to do as a writer. The fact that they deal much more heavily with friendship instead of cliche romance, too, is great - especially since Odd Girl Out deals with everything in a realistic but dramatic light instead of a glorified, overly sappy, cliche one. This is definitely a webtoon I would recommend to anyone who wants to try out a new webtoon if they like slice-of-life and drama-full webtoons.

This was great~ tbh, I started watching this bc someone dared me to, and i seriously thought this woulnd’t be the kind of anime I’d like at first. Apparently, I was wrong~
Basically, this anime is like an MMO except turned into real life! It’s cool! I also really like Bell’s design~! Normally, in an anime like this, the protagonist is a dark-haired kid who’s rather boring-looking and starts out as ordinary Gary-Stue but ends up becoming the best of the best. The hairstyle is commonly the same, too! Neat and slightly messy. Bell has white hair, red eyes, and a hairstyle that’s more unique! Still
...
has a slight cliché touch to it, though - yk, that messy part of his hair. He also does have the same ordinary-becomes-extraordinary and Gary-Stue kind of character, but for once, it feels like that ordinary-becomes-extraordinary part actually has enough reason! Maybe it’s cause I haven’t watched enough anime like this, but it’s a nice change~! Really, for once, the reason wasn’t sheer extreme determination. Partially, yes, but it’s like this anime acknowledges that even determination has its limits! Also, Bell IS a Gary-Stue with the common traits (excessively kind, pessimistic, humble, has a harem, relatively shy, etc) but I definitely like him~! Oh! And not to mention, he seems to be deemed as an ordinary and/or cute kid! It’s a lot more understandable for the girls to like him, haha, since he’s that cool and kind and seems like the kind of character that would look cute to others.
Ok, enough about Bell’s character. I also personally dislike/hate the title. It makes Bell seem like a hoe! And makes the anime sound like a bad harem anime! At least make the girls part of it singular! A much better title would be Familia Myth, sheesh.
I also don’t like how off-track the anime tends to seem in terms of Bell’s determination to get to Aiz’s level. Sure, the anime’s about his adventures, but his main motive is literally to get to Aiz’s level the entire time. Yet, there are times where he doesn’t seem like he’s caring for it at the moment. How comfortable Bell seemed to get with Aiz during training, too... that was pretty uncomfortable to watch. How can someone go from “intense and uncontrollable fanboying at the mere sight of his crush” to “i have a huge crush i can easily act normal around” in just a matter of an hour or two? However long it was? I’m also not fond of Hestia’s character... she’s really just a big-boobed loli brat who’s too non-murderous yandere over Bell. Not that I hate her, tho, I actually like her fine. I also like how realistic the society is! It’s not an incredible lot, but somewhat, which is definitely good! Or maybe its just me being tired with SAO’s.
Blah blah blah... basically, this anime has its own set of clichés as an action adventure harem anime, yet is slightly more unique than several others of its kinds. You should give it a try!

It was a good special episode, and I definitely enjoyed it! However, I’m glad the actual anime had the wisdom to exclude it as a separate special, and I’m probably temporarily half-scarred by what happened to Sakurai in the end for now 😂
The first part of the episode was great, first of all! I’m not fond of how it started out (likeywoulditfoolmeintothinkingtheyweremovingintogetherasamarriedcouplegoddammit)(thatsnottheactualreasonimnotveryfondofhowitstartedtho), but it was great! Not only did Moriako and Sakurai became even in visiting each other’s houses, but they got to experience Fruits de Mer with each other irl, too! The hot spring bath trip idea part was hilarious, too, and aw man,,
...
do you realize how disappointing it is for sakurai to decide to bring koisuke along, too? D: ah well its not like we were gonna watch it anyway
The second part, however, is the main reason why i say it was best this episode was excluded after all. It was a bit too long, and more stupid than any of the other subplots the actual anime had :’) It was great to watch, tho, haha. It wasn’t very pleasant, tho, to see Sakurai in that clumsily ugly-ish dress + shiningly naked + very-revealing bikini (it was 99.9% c9vered, thankfully 😂), and for Koisuke to reveal his ultimate pervertedness. Again, the whole episode was enjoyable! Just,, it stands best as a special, don’t you agree~?

This anime was enjoyable~! Even though the story certainly isn’t the best, I enjoyed seeing it through! Gaah I was disappointed, though, about how <spoiler> Moriaka and Sakurai didn’t become an official couple in the end,, ;v:
As for a more helpful review, I wouldn’t say it’s very recommendable as an anime. Despite the not-so-cliché characters, the plot is stocked with clichés and somewhat lame. Hayashi and Lily are especially h e a d s o v e r h e e l s for each other, and it can be annoying for the people who don’t like the ship. I was meh with

the ship, though, and I just came to like it! This anime’s also really open with spoilers, haha. It was obvious about Sakurai’s MMO identity, too (especially that cover pic, man!). I also found it kinda disappointing with how lucky Morioka eventually came to be, but hey, the SakuMori was worth it!
Attempting to sum up my opinion:
+ Morioka’s relatable and flawed character & appearance (i kinda even miss it-)
+ pretty nice art
+ the addition of a fat character
+ the creative way of showing online vs irl
+ the gradual unveiling and right timing used for Moriaka and Sakurai’s pasts being revealed
+ how nothing about how playing games 24/7 are all oh so unhealthy and bad was emphasized, yet how enjoyable and wonderful games could be was emphasized quite a bit but not too much in my opinion
+ the lack of skin exposure during that one shower scene (im srry i had to-)
+ good voice-acting (i especially love morioka’s sound effects and reactions omg)
+ pretty nice music
+ the unusually nice flow and progress in Moriaka and Sakurai’s relationship
- Moriaka’s tendency to quickly self-deprecate herself (which results to me thinking she must’ve felt like a huge burden at work, considering how I’ve lately been somewhat the same)
- too-flashy/big eyes? For girls like Lily and Lilac anyway
- the transition from online to irl can be distracting
- how obvious it was that Sakurai was ypu-know-who
- the coincidences
- Moriaka and Sakurai’s somewhat overdone modest/humble traits
- the way certain character tropes were accented (wasn’t it just mainly Fujimoto and his fancy Japanese house, tho? XD)
- some of the character tropes (idk man Lily and Lilac’s voices aren’t too much of my cup of tea, and I used to dislike Lilac’s personality a little bit)
- some of the times where the characters turn into chibis for silly-ish moments can be slightly-unpleasantly distracting
- all those clichés (saying things at same time, for example)
- the opening and ending doesn’t seem to match the anime very much (not to mention, too much of Molly showed up)
- Nico (i actually like her, but for some reason she was useless and pointless in the end,,, it’s a shame)(then again, himeralda and poko were just as useless-)
I do apologize for having more cons than pros, but then again, I said this anime isn’t very recommendable. I definitely want a second season, though! Please! I might lose interest by the time it comes out, though, haha T_T (then again, i planned to watch the third season of sao when it came out despite losing interest in it at the times)
Why don’t you give it a try? ^^
