Mexican voice actor, writer and teacher.

Alfredo Leal began dubbing in 1996 as a means to help his family financially. Since then he became interested in music, painting and literature, which led him to study French Literature at UNAM, completing his bachelor's and master's degrees in that specialty.

Since 2007, he has published several books in the genres of novel, short story, essay and theater. His book "La vida escondida" was still included in the list of the best books of the year 2016 by journalist Sergio González Rodríguez, published by the newspaper Reforma in Mexico.

In 2011 he announced his retirement from dubbing to dedicate himself fully to his literary career. However, once again for economic reasons - he defines himself as a cultural proletarian - he would return to dubbing in 2018, posting on social networks his participation in Sailor Moon Crystal.

Since that moment he has dedicated himself to dubbing, teaching and literary translation interchangeably, finishing his doctorate in Latin American Studies at UNAM, where he has been a professor as well as at Ibero Puebla and the CIW. His return to dubbing was established in 2020 with the character of Ryuka/Luca in the film Dragon Quest: Your Story.

Brother of Lupita Leal and Miguel Ángel Leal
