Tejina-Senpai, another comedy manga set in a school environment... or is it?
After reading some chapters of Tejina-Senpai, it makes me wonder if the focus of the manga is ecchi or comedy. If the artist is aiming for one or both, he is failing both miserably. The comedy is repetitive; it always has sexual elements in it. It also fails in ecchi section; there are too little romantic elements in the manga.
In every single chapter, the Senpai fails to perform a magic trick and somehow miraculously ends up in a sexual position such as pantie shot position, bondage position, and the stereotypical ecchi positon, "oops my hand are on your boobs". The senpai's breast add support to the fact that this manga is about ecchi; it is quite overly exaggerated, almost to a point of a H-manga (side note: measured to 2kg). The first few chapter did give me some quiet laughs. But after a while... it just wasn't funny anymore.
Ecchi and comedy are two genres that don't go together - especially if the comedy is focused on sexual elements; no matter how different the story, it all just feel the same at the end. If I were to recommend this manga, it would be to ecchi fans who enjoys casual repetitive panty shots. read more
