A selection of particularly interesting manga created for a female audience. Includes both modern and classic titles from a variety of different genres.

(Mainly) Shoujo manga featuring characters who are royalty or filthy rich

*often times it's the love interest who is the royal/rich character

My collection of fluffy-sugary-sweet-wholesome-cute-whateveryoucallit manga and novels that made me incredibly happy when I read them.
Also some stories have alternate versions, but I'm just putting here the version I read.

I'll only add stories when I finish them or reach the end of their English translations.
I'll happily take suggestions on what to read/add, so message me if you want!

Descriptions:
1) Brief and barebones synopsis (hopefully easier to understand than the original synopsis).
2) How sweet of a story I think it is out of 10 (this isn't my personal score!).

A manga interest stack featuring human-presenting female leads with non-human-presenting male leads.
Non-human can refer to monster, animal, furry, inanimate, werewolf, kemonomimi, etc.
Some of these are romance between the two however it's not required.

Mangas starring anthropomorphic animals.

Ones that I think stand out among the rest and do something different. There are many supernatural mangas that I love, however, these are the ones that not only do I love, I consider them truly unique whether that be referring to the world setting, story concept, or characters.

The level of "darkness" for each series varies. But most of these are not your typical wholesome fantasy series.

Good & cozy vibes reign! Combined with optimism.
If there are emotional moments (in some of them, not all), then they are balanced well enough with empathy not to be depressing.
Haven't read that many yet so this will surely be edited later on.

Stories where the main character rebuilds their life (and sometimes gets revenge) after being abandoned/sold off/abused, often by their family.

Some common tropes:
- sold off in marriage in place of favorite child
- going back in time following a betrayal that resulted in death
- heroine//villainess reversal

This will be my favorite mangas that I have been reading that is romance. These mangas are so good that I hope they can be physical manga I can buy in the future.

Series featuring romances between main leads who are of two different species.
These romances can focus on relationships between a human and a vampire, a human and a yokai, etc

These series take inspiration from &/or are based on different folktales, folklore, &/or fairytales from all around the world.

Any manga that features anthropomorphic animals as the main cast. This stack is reserved specifically for series about animals with human attributes outside of speech.

Note: I did not include any manga that were overly explicit, or where anthropomorphic animals are present but not the main focus.
