I've been a fan of Kaneshiro Muneyuki for some time now and Bokutachi no Yarimashita is no exception. Dark and ponderous, it follows four high school boys after they carelessly commit a crime that goes on to torment them for the rest of their lives. It's certainly not your typical manga. The characters are all incredibly flawed and the events and message are uniquely grim. However, like Kaneshiro's other works, it shines in how it forces the reader to rethink the meaning of life and the world around them.

The story begins with Tobio, an ordinary high school boy who spends his time with three other ...

This manga is something different compared to what I've read before. It has an intriguing and unique story that sets the tone for a roller coaster of events and emotions. This manga's story is so dark that it becomes almost lighthearted. It uses its dark elements to create irony and some incredibly dark humor. This manga has a level of realism that many manga wish to obtain. It's intense and keeps you on your seats to what will happen next and makes you feel angst, dread, uneasy, and uncomfortable. The story's realism is used as many events happen unexpectedly and leaves the audience fearing for ...

Story - 10/10
This manga is unique af. The plot itself is a spoiler so I will just say that it talks about 4 friends that make a terrible mistake that will haunt them for the rest of their lives.

Art - 8.2/10
The art is good. Nothing spectacular but it fits the story very well and the facial expression are amazing. The paneling is very creative as well.

Characters - 9.5/10
Bokutachi Ga Yarimashita has fantastic characters. They don't have the most fascinating ideologies and they are not based on only one character trait. They are simply immature humans living life. Tobio is the main character and he enjoys ...

A group of 4 teenagers blow up another school. Resulting with 10 deaths. Now they are in desperation in being caught, so they go crazy and do some things. The story is somehow different of other real life mangas. It shows how the psyche of a human can go down when we face to a desesperate situation/serious crime. Some will try to disappear, other will try to continue with their lifes, or maybe they'll feed their pleasures until the get caught. Guilty is in their bodies. They see the world around them, how the people sorrounded by them dont know of their crimes. They feel ...

Preliminary (87/87 chp)
Bokutachi Ga Yarimashita, more than anything, is a coming-of-age story about coming to terms with the decisions you make. It forces the audience to confront some disturbing themes with it's almost grotesque artstyle and out of place humor. The exaggerated faces present give a constant sense of unease even in the more lighthearted moments sprinkled throughout.

The characters in this manga are some of the most relatable and human characters I've ever come across in any fictional work ever. They start out as dumb highschool (or ex-highschool) kids who, after a series of unlucky events find their lives spiralling out of control and becoming complete chaos. ...

Bokutachi ga Yarimashita must be one of the "best" pieces of literature put on paper. A manga about contrast, a story that could only be described as an unpredictable, blazing 87-chapter long car crash briming with brilliant satire, dark humor, and memorable characters. A car crash so fucked-up, you cannot look away.

This manga expertly balances between parody and the dark, ugly side of human beings. This contrast, I believe, is best expressed through the story’s characters. Their interactions with one another, their reactions to situations that challenge their morality, their greed, lust, anger, or simply their blatant and undeniable idiocy. As sad as it ...

If you like more realistic manga with a touch of psychology, this is the manga.

Bokutachi ga Yarimashita begins with Tobio's quiet high school life as he longs for a normal life and his 3 friends, until one of them is kidnapped by high school students and is tortured and subjected to humiliation.

Uneasy, Tobio proposes to his friends that they pay back.

From then on, the lives of the 4 turned inside out. The reality here is treated with clarity, so much so that it makes us uncomfortable many times and at other times we have the feeling of familiarity.

Characters are people, they make mistakes (a lot), ...

This is the best example of what seinen really should be.

Bokutachi ga Yarimashita is probably one of the most unique manga I have ever read.
I got to know Kaneshiro Muneyuki's work thanks to "Blue Lock" and became a big fan of his work, so big was my surprise when I discovered that Kaneshiro had also created "Jagaaaaaaaaaan" and even more this work.

I discovered this manga by pure chance one day, and beyond its synopsis or its art. What caught my attention the most about this one, and what made me keep it until today was its title.
Bokutachi ga Yarimashita or "We did it" in English.

We ...

When you are in emargency trouble, your true character will appear.

this work describes human's true character very well. Author ”Muneyuki Kaneshiro” is pretty good at describing human's character. then also his work "Blue Lock" describes human's real character well.

I like his direct describing to character.

I think it is correct decision that Tobio didn't get married with Renko. Tobio is so rude because Tobio had a sex with Koyoi when he fallen in love with Renko

this story is very exciting then I can't help stopoing reading next.
However, characters in this work don't affect me much. That's why I evaluate this work totaly 8 point.
I expect his other ...
