Criminally low rated on MAL, this is one of the smoothest Shoujo Ai around and is a fun ride from start to finish. The characters are likeable and interesting, the plot is involving and drives forward throughout the character's 3 years of highschool and covers how they develop as teens entering adulthood and the struggles that come with losing friends as they grow apart.

There's no love triangle drama to speak of, just a pure romance between girls confused about what they want to do in life and who they want to be.

One of the greatest Shoujo Ai romances around, extremely recommended.

Ano Ko ni Kiss to Shirayuri wo starts like a shoujo ai high school version of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san in some regards, with the essentially superhuman genius Kurosawa constantly teasing the decidedly Tsundere Shiramine. (Hermione Granger and Shiramine would probably be best pals.) But then the next volume is about a different couple. And the volume after that is about yet another couple. There's certainly hugs, and kisses, and hand holding all around, but I haven't really felt a deeper connection with any one of the characters. I feel like since about chapter 30, and the start of Kurosawa's "search for something she actually ...

It is impressive that a manga with such an interesting artstyle and such a high score on this site can end up feeling incredibly boring, inconsequential, superficial, and melodramatic. This manga encompasses many of the worst tropes that we usually see in romance Shoujo manga.

So, to summarize, this story goes around the life of several students at this upper-class academy and their romantic lives among them. It maintains a consistent light-hearted tone throughout each arc, usually consisting of a repeating formula: two characters meet each other, one falls in love while the other is hesitant, there is some petty conflict involved, they resolve the conflict, ...

One of the best shoujo-ai mangas present out there!!

This is a manga about Kurosawa Yurine (an overly talented young girl whose performance is at best no matter what she does) & Shiramine Ayaka (honest hard working girl who got frustrated when Kurosawa stole her 1ST SPOT!!) the story between them is just SO beautiful that I can't help but to think about this manga! to get it off my mind I want to share a good review so that u guys know what you're about to experience

First thing - this manga does not focus entirely on our MCs! this at first gave me irritation to ...

This was quite an incredible ride. Ano ko ni Kiss to Shirayuri wo is a shoujo ai / yuri manga that explores the relationships and feelings of the girls at the all-girls Seiran Academy. It mostly centers around two protagonists, Shiramine Ayaka and Kurosawa Yurine - the latter who is a transfer student that shakes Ayaka's self-esteem after stealing her number one spot in the academic rankings as soon as they entered high school. It's your typical cute and fluffy rival to lovers to trope except it's (finally) yuri.

Eventually, the manga also started to explore the relationships of the people around our two protagonists, ...

If there is one spot where Ano Ko ni Kiss to Shirayuri wo truly shines, it's with the characters. There are very few high school romances where the characters are as developed as this, especially in the shoujo ai/yuri genre. Of course there are common tropes, and characters types, but it isn't so upfront, and it is refreshing.

The story revolves around the two main characters (Shiramine Ayaka and Kurosawa Yurine), where Shiramine was always number 1 at her previous school, until Kurosawa shows up and beats her (and other classmates) in every discipline, without trying. Kurosawa sounds like a pretty standard iamverysmart character, but it's ...

Ano Ko ni Kiss to Shirayuri wo is one of those shoujo-ai manga you don't really keep up with the updates nor get really into it. Its genre mostly is based upon comedy so this manga is very light-hearted. For those trying to look for an intense yuri/shoujo-ai manga checking out yagakimi or citrus would be a better choice.

Story : This manga doesn't solely focus on the main couple but explores different characters love life set in the same universe thus the main story shifts around a lot never focusing on any particular characters but in the end still coming back to the ...

Ano Ko ni Kiss to Shirayuri wo is a story that revolves around the couple Shiramine and kurosawa and a shit load of other couples. The fact about this manga is that each volume or say each story arc focuses on a different couple but at the same time relate them somehow or the other to the main couple in someways.

There are story arc that only focuses on the other couples too without the main couples not showing up at all throughout the arc. This manga has every story from a bittersweet to ultra sweet romance and even love triangles for a person to read.

Story: 7/10 ...

Like an all-you-can eat buffet of yuri, Ano Ko ni Kiss to Shirayuri wo's greatest strength is also its weakness, as its huge cast of charming characters and wide variety of relationships don't provide enough space for more than one of its storylines to stretch its legs.

Canno's art is always cute and her moment-to-moment writing is effective. Initially the characters can be difficult to keep track of as the narrative jumps from pairing to pairing - you'll have to pay close attention to each girl's specific combination of hairstyle and hair accessory to keep them straight (so to speak). But the storylines are so densely ...

Mixed Feelings
This manga was... quite the ride, to say the least.

Ano Ko ni Kiss to Shirayuri wo is a story about discovering self identities, straying away from escapism, and maturing. However, that description doesn't fit all of the couples within this series.

This series has around 6+ other perspectives that get just as much attention as the lead's over the course of 50 chapters. Each and every couple has their own circumstances, and their own battles to deal with. Trying to portray the lives of all these couples whilst having main leads as well is no easy feat, which is why I respect the mangaka who ...

My main enjoyment for this series is the main couples. The other couples can be good or meh. I hope the last volume is full of Shiramine and Kurosawa.

After re-reading it more carefully, I really enjoyed the story between the main couple.

And now I'll try to type more to actual be able to post this because this site needs that. I first went to this manga so I could look for Yuri fanservice. So I pretty much just skipped dialogue mostly. And then I stopped reading about a few chapters in. And 2nd time reading I read it, although somewhat carelessly. I enjoyed it, although ...

Great manga. Though, it does not start off strong. I even thought "this mangaka can't draw faces" at first. However, everything only steadily improves as it progresses. The art is absolutely stunning towards the end, and the story concluded fairly well. There's sweetness enough for lifetime in this manga.

If I did have to note one thing, there is almost too many characters in this manga. I even lost track of who was who at one point. This could've potentially been a disaster but I think the author just barely managed to avoid that.

Looking for a simple, fun manga that will make you feel good ...
