Both series revolve around girls who begin as friends, yet due to circumstances, find themselves being attracted to one another, and trying to overcome the hurdle of a same sex relationship.

A longer & rather more Complex Series overall (not to mention more TG than a Pure Yuri), but just as enjoyable & amusing a read, a must have in this Genre.

Both stories involve a male-to-female gender-bender that is irreversible, with both comedy and drama about the situation, as well as the main characters having to learn how to live with the change.

Main character has multiple love interests, yuri, and features a fluffier ending than Kashimashi's.

I like both of these animes. They are both kind of slow-paced but you end up really feeling for the characters. If you like shoujo ai I recommend both.

They are both about a feminine boy who has turned into a girl.

The both involve somehow switching genders.

While Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~ has slightly weaker writing than Strawberry Panic, it contains a similarly emphasized yuri element. Kashimashi starts out with a focus slightly more on gender bending, and then evolves into a what I feel is a very sweet yuri love story, similar to Strawberry Panic.

It has the gender bender aspect and a bit of yuri

Same idea were the guy dies from an accident and ends up being a girl after. Although Kashi Mashi leans more on yuri and is more dramatic whereas Akane-chan Overdrive has a more comedic and ecchi approach.

they both have a boy that was turned into a girl and the girl they had a crush on started liking them when they became girls

Both series start with a girl (Aoi in Ookami, Yasuna in Kashimashi) rejecting the main character (Keitarou in Ookami, Hazumu in Kashimashi) over a fear of guys due to them being unable to see them (just faces in Ookami, whole body in Kashimashi). Main characters in both are forced to undergo changes that enable them to get close to their love interest (crossdressing in Ookami, sex change in Kashimashi). Both involve a love triangle with a childhood friend of one of the two involved (Aoi's friend Botan in Ookami, Hazumu's friend Tomari in Kashimashi) with similar personalities and even twintail hairstyles.
