Preliminary Spoiler

I'm literally only writing this review because I saw this manga has none and I kind of felt bad for it, but I also feel responsible to prepare you for what this manga is if you ended up here for whatever reason, like wanting more Matsuri Hino manga, expecting this to be similar to Vampire knight, etc.

Story - 3

I'm one of the people that dived into it only because it was Matsuri Hino's new project after Vampire knight ended and I seriously expected it to at least reach the same level of expectations, mostly because it sounded like something nice and something that I ...

Mixed Feelings
Shuriken to Pleats was definitely not an amazing manga.

Firstly, the art albeit it decent, reminds me too much of the Vampire Knight style; especially the eyes and sharp faces. i personally did not enjoy Vampire Knight so it definitely impacted my opinion on the matter negatively.

Also, I adore the concept or rather what the plot could have been. However, it was very superficial. The story did not delve into the various relationships between the main and supporting characters. Also, the "seed" aspect of it left me confused and I found it did not add much to the story. The story did not really flow, ...

Preliminary (5/11 chp)
Allright, here goes a first review in my life ever

Story- overall I could've seen potential. The story starts off in a way that it takes you off your feet, the story overall was fair, being plot idea and everything. Completely different from Vampire Knight. The more you read into the chapters, the more you'll somewhat understand the plot, because it's kind of centred around the main character more then it needs to be. She kind of ruined it for an ending; felt more of a one shot then a series.

Art- With no doubt, the art style was very good! the scenery may not be ...

Honestly it's a very simple story however it's original and i really enjoyed reading it. I read both in about 4 hours and that's because i had to do some things in between so don't expect a long read out of these (i do tend to read fast tho so it might be a bit longer than that).

As the main character Mikage has quite a small but nice character development which makes you feel really happy for her as you slowly start seeing her smile here and there. Very wholesome! Also the adults in the story (both her master and her "second master") are ...

The 2 is for the fact that this is from a library so I can sleep knowing i didn't pay for this, it's length (not that I think being only 11 chapters excuses anything) and the art which is pretty enough. That doesn't take away from the fact that this is the most bland thing I've ever read. I would recommend reading your local phonebook if you were interested in emulating the experience. Anyone who gives this more than a 3/10 is a liar and is lying to you. So
Then again the main demographic of this is probably vampire knight fans so maybe the taste ...
