Two of lead girl characters looks same asocial, schizoid, unfashionable style. And the other lead guy will change her properties as time goes and they fall each other deeply. Same going.

I actually made the mistake of trying to read both at the same time, and ended up getting them confused. Mars is far darker than Kare First Love and also 5 volumes longer. Both focus on shy, artistically-inclined girls (Karin wih music, Kira with art) who, despite their best efforts, fall for "bad boy" types (though Kiriya is A LOT tamer than Rei). Kare is a lot lighter, but Mars is very realistic. On another note, Mars volumes are kind of hard to find. (I had to stop the series because volumes are on backorder at the local bookstore  read more

The plot is similar and the characters are quite similar too. The art in B.O.D.Y reminds of the art in KFL.

They are two love stories at high school with similar male main characters. Both boys were born in a rich family but they have a bad relationship with their fathers because their fathers are company managers and they want their sons to inherate the company but the boys prefer to work as photographers. Both boys are living alone because of that. And both girls are from a middle-class family and very cute and sweet, this is her first love for both of them. But Kare First Love is much better, Sakura is too short and the storyline isn't well developed.

Both have a girl who is at first a bit of a dork but is still cute and both girls catch the eye of a popular good looking guy and they each become infatuated with them. Both stories show how each set of characters evolve as they go and how each couple's love blossoms. Each story is full of drama and there is a ton of romance and surprises along the way ^.-

The same author made it. And The art is the same too, I think this manga will be really cool.

Both are about meeting a boy that the main girl doesn't like at first but, of course, falls in love with.

Both mangas feature a guy with a talent in photography and a girl with a talent in music, but Kare First Love is longer and more developed than Dear Green.

Both of these manga revolves around a girl who has no experience in love and are both considered to be "Ugly" or "Plain". They both were bullied by their classmates. They than changed their appearances and people begin to notice them. Than they are on the journey of experiencing love.

I'm actually surprised no one recommended this. The guys are really similar, workaholics and from families with bigger businesses. Yukino is more independent than Karin but they both go through the struggle to become there own person. The relationships in both manga's are basically identical. The girls are hesitant, resistant [i found Karin in Kare first love to be incredibly annoying towards this issue...but you get through it] and the guys are pushy. The love that develops between them is genuine though which i think is where they are the most similar. Both decent reads if your into shoujo

I was expecting Dengeki Daisy to be more recommended but I'm surprised that nobody did. This manga reminds me a lot of it. There were some instances wherein Teru and Karin looked alike. :) Both guys in Dengeki Daisy and Kare First Love has lost someone they cared about and thinks it's their fault -- in Dengeki Daisy, Kurosaki lost Teru's brother which was like a brother to him as well and in Kare First Love, Kiriya lost his brother. The cause of the two brothers' death are different though. And both have cute romance between the characters. :)

Both have parents that are very strict and want their boys to do something other than they love. This is a little more mature of course, as it is also longer. Both involve a special question.

Both has girls who are considered Ugly and no-one likes and only makes fun of. After some events that occurred both females decided they want to change themselves and therefore they have. Also, They both have just that 1 person who interferes with them in finding love.. however Papillon i believe is more dramatic than kare first love.

Another simillar story - unpopular girl meets a guy he is ideal prince, in first he is only teasting her and she hates him , but ... as in all shoujo - they fell in love with each other.
reportRecommended by Shadake
In the start guy is in love with one girl - who's feeling are just begining. From the first sight it looks like they don't really like each other, but later on, they relised they are ment to be together.

While reading Kare Kano I just couldn't get Kare First Love out of my head! The circumstances and characters are nearly contralateral. However these mangas are so alike!

Well, it has that feeling of "Oh no! What is going to go wrong now?" That continual suspense of who is going to end up with who. Really good romances in both. People trying to steal each other's lover, and very touching.

The two main female characters are both teased for their appearance, and have a popular, pretty 'friend' that tries everything to ruin their lives.

Readers are led to believe that the protagonists in both mangas have a genuine romance which is true and deep. Ren Ai is much more dramatic and presents the reader with the content at a full on speed, whereas Kare First Love has a great storyline also, but is extremely sentimental, and shows the point of view of many characters throughout. Kare First Love is exciting, and more toned down compared to Ren Ai which seems to be more focused on men having their way with one girl. Don't get me wrong, I love both mangas deeply but if you're looking for something more dramatic and  read more

both main characters are shy and having their first true love ~X3 and so deeply in love with their boyfriends *kya* in KFL the boyfriend is in different school ,while in HNK the boyfriend is in different city.

1) Both are about first love 2) The guy suffers because of the death of the relative and has difficult relationship with his family
reportRecommended by Annyti
Both are about girls that never had neither a boyfriend or friends, but that suddenly change when she meets a hot guy and fall in love with them. Both great read, with good characters, nice comedy and nice romance.
reportRecommended by biakudryavka
both the series are similar in the relationship development aspect because they show how couples go through the ups and downs of their relationship also, they both revolve around some very realistic situations (i.e. dating, fashion etc.) that can be compared to the life of an average teenager (both having the slice of life genre) they both have good romance storylines and are must-reads

In both these mangas you have a girl pretending to be best friends with the herione but are actually using them. Well I guess if you like stories with betrayal then you will like both I Accept You and Kare First Love.
