Made by the same author, both series crafts a simple slice of life with relatable characters with natural setting. While they lack a complex storyline/arc, it makes it up with its backgrounds and characters. Dialogues have a quiet feeling and the backgrounds are elegant with degrees of fantasy-like aura. Both series should be on anyone's list if they love slice of life.

Both of them are heavily atmospheric and poignant slice of life pieces with gorgeous artwork, though Ashizuri Suizokukan is somewhat less relaxed and more flat-out surreal than Kotonoba Drive is.

Both are great gems of the slice of life genre. Mushishi's about the MC, Ginko, who can see strange creatures called 'mushi'; whereas Kotonoba's MC Suu-chan has the ability to experience strange occurences around a heritage site for about 5 mins. The striking feature in both cases is the serene, peaceful atmosphere. Try them on a rainy day and you won't regret it.

Atmospheric and built with a elegant slice of life tone, both series follows a story with a lot of realism. They don't have particular complicated storytelling but the style of their premise holds great promise. The character relationships are also well performed.

Aria and Kotonoba Drive expresses the themes of slice of life with a fine degree of elegance. While they don't have complex story plot twists, they make it up with its colorful cast of characters. They also portray every day life activities with its wonderful world fiction. Both series are recommended for anyone who is interested in reading a slow-pacing and elegant story.
