Mixed Feelings
I honestly have no clue why this manga has such a high rating when there's so much wrong with it. Since all the reviews were basically "this manga is perfect, 10/10" I decided to write a review of my own.

Hana to Akuma is the story of a demon coming to the human world and adopting a young human girl and raising her. This is a love story between the two. My immediate reaction: gross. Apparently I'm the only one who seems to have a problem with a father figure developing romantic feelings for the girl he raised and vice versa. I find it disgusting. ...

So split on this. On the one hand, there were some super adorable moments that really made me WANT to love it. And, I'm not gonna lie, I shed a few tears here and there. But... let's be honest, it's a romance between a girl and her non-biological father. It's basically a how-to guide for child abuse and grooming. Preliminary (28/60 chp)
Hana to Akuma: The typical powerful and terrible bad guy whose heart is warmed by the protagonist's love. Not bad, but there are plenty of issues with this manga that might irritate or annoy anyone who's already wary of the shoujo genre.

Story: 6
Having read about half way through at the time I'm writing this, from what I've gathered, there's no big plot. Mr. Demon doesn't have any dark background or centuries-old curse that he must solve. Each chapter, consisting of 30-45 pages, is a story within itself; that is, the conflict is introduced and solved within 1-3 chapters. I will say that some of these ...

Mixed Feelings
I usually like stories that have a strong focus on supernatural elements, but this manga felt very hollow and contrived to me. The female lead, Hana, was very annoying to me, and the love that developed between her and Vivi felt unnatural (and, to be honest, very creepy given that Hana is only 14, and acts in a very immature fashion). Many of the aspects of the plot that move their relationship along clearly happened for that sole purpose - it doesn't feel very fleshed out or natural. The manga also goes out of its way to repeat certain elements over and over (like Vivi ...
