This will be my first proper review of a manga.

Story: 8/10
Our protagonist gets sucked into a game meant to solve debt problems. The thing is he isn't the one who got them into the game. So it has to be one of his friends. The longer the game lasts, the more the MC realizes that he wants to destroy the game itself.
Art: 10/10
The art is very good. It may be a monthly so you'd usually expect good art, but I can't deny the fact that Tomodachi Game's art style is very visually appealing.
Character: 8/10
It's like an 8 or a 9, I'd go with an ... 8. I love the main character and his unusual problem solving methods. The rest of the cast is enjoyable too, besides Makoto, I don't like him whatsoever. I'll give a brief summary of the cast.
Yuuichi: The MC, he's interesting and has got an unusual way of thinking to say the least.
Shiho: I dare to say the deuteragonist, a girl who keeps order. The word that describes her best is justice.
Yutori: a girl, who doesn't seem to add much to the plot, but she will (iykyk)
Makoto: a pervert, who is the walking L of the cast. Most unlikable of the bunch.
Tenji: The calm guy of the group, who thinks rationally. Probably the 3rd most important of the bunch.
Enjoyment: 9/10
It's very enjoyable, but at times I feel like it's a bit stretched out especially because it's a manga you got to wait a whole month to get a new chapter. Also the plot might sometimes get a bit repetitive with the problem-solving and how everything goes 180 degrees.

This manga is criminally underrated - the games are all supremely entertaining and the characters are amazing; the series of twists and turns that happen in each game alone are awesome and keep you hooked. The main cast (with the exception of she who shall not be named for spoiler reasons) is great and are all perfectly round characters with their own stories, goals, and personalities. The art is average, it's certainly not bad, it's not over the top amazing, its simply good. Where the manga mainly loses points is in story, because some of the plot twists ... that are revealed as to who is the "traitor" are just stupid and leave you confused. Otherwise, I'm always on the edge of my seat waiting for Yuuichi to make some insanely 4,000 IQ move that involves an incredibly niche loophole nobody thought of.

Overall, this is NOT your average death game. In fact, it's not even a death game at all. The one thing that ties all of the games together is that the admins have rules in place to prevent violence, or at least violence that would lead to serious injury/death. None of the games are about hurting yourself, except financially and emotionally. Please do not skip this one because, "Oh, it's just another death game"!

If you like characters that manipulate everything and mangas that has a lot of plot twists. Than this manga would be best for you.

If you like chacters that no brain and can't do anything and not smart than this manga might not be for you.

This is a whole interesting experience for everyone who reads becouse even the concept looks like it has been made a lot of times. The main character changes everything. I don't know mangaka is using a technique that makes MC that smart or not (idk even there is a thing like that) MC is really smart that you can't even imagine.

Story ... : 8/10

Story is kinda not good. Becouse you have already probably seen this kind of stories. That it has people that needs to play a game. This story is only interesting becouse they have debts. They need to pay their debts. That might be the unique experience but that's it.


Art : 9/10

The overall art is quite good. The facial experissions are the best. Mangaka made really a great job when making the art. While reading it. I got the feeling while watching anime. It gives you chills when reading it and gives the emotions best.


Characters : 9/10

The characters are not quite good I can say. The only good and interesting characters are MC and there is a genious character as well. But the other ones just feels like they made by mangaka to just to make the manga wouldn't continue just by 2 people. But just for the MC you can read it becouse it is his story.

Enjoyment : 10/10

Even the art and story might not be good but this manga has one of the best MC's ever you can see. You can't stop reading it when you start trust me. If you have any hesitations of raeding it just stop it. Go and read it and you won't regret. Trust in my words go watch it.


Overall : 10/10 This is a masterpiece.

Story : 7 : Starts off with 5 friends who seem like they are close. all friends have different personality. They are then about to go on a field trip with admissions cost 70,000 YEN. After all the money is collected, the money is stolen by someone. All friends are then called to one spot where they are "Invited" to a game of Friends. Among those friends is a traitor. The Friends must work together to find the culprit. Will it be the MC Yuuichi, Rich kid Makoto Shibe, The Wise Tenji Mikasa, the "Normal girl" Yutori Kokorogi or Vice- Prez Shiho Sawaragi. || The ... story starts off very strong. Flashbacks of Yuuichi's mother, some character development parts. Then its off to Yuuichi Complain about his low salary job for the trip. The story Doesn't give much details about about anyone although, it gives the reader an Idea. These ideas will change significantly threw out the story. Yet the strong start, the fun started to disappear for me. (Chapter 28). Despite its great start, the ending will be very obvious. ||

Art : 8 : The art here needs no essay. The Drawings are great, and somehow relate to there characters. After reading 2 Volumes, you too will realize this. Satou, Yuuki may not be someone famous, the art is really outstanding. The theme is very dark and creepy.

Character : 9 : Character development is not the greatest, but little by little is given every so often. The Personality of all characters are great, you could relate to them but i found it was difficult for me. Each of them live a very different life. One is poor and one is rich.

Enjoyment : 9 : The super plan the MC creates always has you on the edge of your seat. The cliff hangers on the end of the Chapter wants you to read more. I personally enjoyed it very much because of The good story, interesting characters and because you don't get to see a MC who is actually smart with other people. The best parts are when you actually have to think about what your reading. Sometimes taking chances are the smallest chances are the best chances is be demonstrated here

Overall : // 8 \\ : I really enjoyed the Manga, specially when i don't really get interested in those genre. I only read manga of those anime i truly enjoyed. This is a one of a kind anime which will make you question your friends in real life.

Story (8/10)
The start it reminds way too much with squid games with the goal of the protagonist being to help his friends and he will not hesitate to do anything in order to achieve that, you can see the main characters start with hope and slowly losing it along with their sanity, they start as a friendgroup but the most likely outcome is that they will hate each other as their secrets are revealed

Art (8/10)
the art is clean, easy to understand and fits with the manga's tone perfectly

Characters (8/10)
There are many likeable characters win tomodachi game for one reason or another but there are far ... more unlikeable characters because the longer you reach in tomodachi game the more messed up someone has to be in order to reach that point and keep going

I really enjoy this manga and i would definitely recommend this manga if you are a fan of psychological games and battles of insanity in a dark and twisted world

I just made account to write a review about Tomodachi Game. It's my first time writing review about an manga. If you are into psychological and suspense genre of manga to read, I recommend you this. I am on currently chapter 108 and still I am loving it, the story, the characters, the manga panels and the most of all psychological thriller and manipulation.
If I say something about story, I would say that the story is not predictable, sometimes you wonder what would happen now then all you expectations will be ruined. The story goes beyond expectations and blows mind.
The main character Katagiri Yuichi is ... well-written. He is not your typical good or evil guy. He is more of your twisted guy.

The story itself is amazing, the characters are amazing, just everything is amazing. The plot starts off with 5 close friends trapped in a room and one of them is in debt. There is so much excitement, betrayals, and suspense it makes a great story.
Of course not all the characters are likeable, but they all have an important role to play no matter how annoying or clingy.
The MC is especially likeable and all the characters have very special traits about them.
All the arcs are amazing in their own way, naturally some are more exciting than others but even the boring ones have ... a story to tell.
The story keeps you on the edge of your seat and makes you want to stay up all night to read it, it makes sure you would never want to drop it.
When you first start the series I would recommend skipping the prologue, other than introducing the characters it's pretty boring.
I wouldn't recommend it to people who are sensitive to blood or nudity though, it doesn't often appear but it does a couple of times.
10/10 would recommend it to people who don't mind

Story: 9
The protagonist is relatable, though his thought process is unorthodox and sometimes things are just too forced. However, this manga takes real attention to detail and it is possible for the reader to come up with conclusions even before the protagonist. An example of this is the magic trick made by Kamishiro-sama to deceive Kokogori in the Gambling Cruise. Some details are hidden in the images, and there are lots of variables to think of while reading the manga, but it succeds in nit being too hard to understand.

Art: 7
The manga art could be better, and the author shows their talent in the beginning ... of chapters with astonishing stuff, but sometimes the artstyle is just average and there is some fanservice and ecchi, negative points in my opinion. However, there are hints in the visuals that can lead the reader to conclusions, which is nice.

Character: 8
Characters are sometimes deep, sometimes shallow. As it is an ongoing series, there may be space for development in the future. The fact is: characters are rarely forgotten and their development is sometimes shocking.

Enjoyment: 10
The work put by the author in the manga is just overwhelming. It is not truly original, though special in its way. Just enjoyable and fun, you will definetely feel good after you understand something complicated.

I don't usually read manga. Wanted to check out the story after being dissatisfied with ep1 of the anime adaption, but seeing multiple 10 reviews here.

I'd give it an overall 7 "Good".

I found it an enjoyable and engaging read. The story is generally structured as a detective, and I'd say the main pull for me was in trying to figure out the puzzle elements of the plot.

I wouldn't call the writing perfect. It suffers from all the typical amateur issues such as over-explanation and immersion-breaking inattention to details. But if I was 16, I probably wouldn't mind it nearly as much. Note: this was a ... translated version, so I'm not commenting on word choice or mannerisms here, but just on the pacing and focus of writing.

The main characters are serviceable. I'd say that this was written with plot puzzles in mind first, and plugging the characters in second. They don't really drive, they go with the flow.
Most side characters are just an excuse for the author to dump exposure and draw cute outfits.

Speaking of outfits, there are plenty of cute girls in provocative clothing. It's a feast for the eyes, although for some that might be too much.
Otherwise I don't feel qualified to comment on the art, since I haven't seen that much manga yet.

i completed the manga and i want to say that the ending was really fulfilling and i loved the panels towards the end where we are shown the conversation between yuuichi and his step mother. it's tragic but exactly what creates this a masterpiece and adds icing on the cake for me. the ending wasnt rushed or half assed but well done. overall the mc's expressions, without doubt are top tier. i was invested in the side characters as well and the pace was also good. the plot heavily exploits emotions and psychology which interested me in the first place.

The first 10 chapters are really good. All we know is that we have a group of friends, and the game organisers are trying to break up the friendship by showing doubts and offering money as a reward. Then there's a retcon I didn't really like regarding a certain character. The author repeats this throughout the story. What is established about a character gets thrown out in the next game, all for the sake of a subversion, a twist. Still, it's intriguing and entertaining, till chapter 50 or so, that is. Then the decline into absurdity begins.

There's only so much suspension of disbelief that ... is possible on the part of a reader, when in every new game it's like the characters memories get reset. They forget how yuuichi is a liar and a manipulator, and get fooled again and again. This gets very tiresome after a point, and it defeats the purpose of the twists in an ironic way, as the story has now become predictable. No matter what the situation is, yuuichi has planned everything from the first moment and will win anyway. But that can't possibly be true because he couldn't be prepared for every contingency, and I'm talking about that scene during the forest game where he falls off a cliff. How the hell did he know a branch would be there? Ridiculous. That is just one example.

More and more characters are introduced, the games that were intricate and strategic become action packed shootouts. There's retcon after retcon, twist after twist(each more absurd than the last) till the final bell tolls, and we are left with an ending we don't care about so much because we stopped caring a long time ago.

The way the female characters are portrayed is also a joke, as it's either buttshots or boobshots, even when they are talking. The art starts out incredible, then slowly decreases in quality.

The games are well designed and some of the foreshadowing is great, ultimately it becomes too repetitive and predictable for its own good, which is ironic since this series is all about twists. The question that is begged towards the end, after all the reveals is, were the characters ever really friends even? That makes the central theme of the entire manga moot, and the ending scene pointless. It's still very entertaining, so give it a chance , maybe.

This is my first review and english is not my mother tongue so ill try my level best.
Non-Spoiler Review:
Amazing story, completely unexpected twists and turns, very hard to predict. story starts off normally but slowly but nicely the story builds up and reveals a lot of things happened in the first 5 chapters which were the only sane chapters. after the starting 5 the story goes insane, so insane that you may have to read it a few times again to understand it. Overall art is good, character design of protagonist is good. art of protagonist is scary. Very Dark and gore comic.

3) Less focus on characters other than the protagonists

This manga is too predictable you just know what’s going to happen, and as others have said I admit it’s cringe how the administrators are always like “ooh its Yuuji he’s a monster” “he’s so evil” like just let us see with our own eyes and form a judgment of him you don’t have to repeat it 100 times, even tho that’s cringe I like Yuuji because he’s different from others MC of this type of genre, likes he’s not this innocent MC that’s afraid of hurting others. I tried to like this manga but it’s just too predictable y’all talk about “sudden twists” but ... if you’ve been into this genre before you just know where it’s going, I liked it at first ngl but I feel that with this manga you have to go with an empty mind so you don’t spoil yourself, what I mean by this is I found myself thinking “oh I bet this is going to happened” and then it happened.
