The espers of Academy City are classified into six levels, where "Level 0" lacks power while "Level 5" possesses an overwhelming amount. Of the several million espers residing in Academy City, only seven of them have attained Level 5, and ranked highest among them is the one known as Accelerator.

Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator focuses on the strongest Level 5 after he protects the cheerful Last Order at the price of much of his power. Recovering at the hospital, Accelerator has led a relatively quiet life until he ends up saving the life of Estelle Rosenthal, a mysterious girl carrying a photo of Last Order. Unfortunately, Accelerator now finds himself dragged into a new conflict in the form of a sinister organization called Disciplinary Action which plots to use Last Order for a dangerous mission. Now that they have set their plan into motion and are in pursuit of the young girl, it's up to the world's most powerful esper and his newfound companion to protect Last Order and defend Academy City in the process.

This one of the my most awaited manga from the kagaku series and when I first read it, well it never fails to amuse me in every bit of time I spend reading it not just because I'm a big fan of accelerator itself but this one's really awesome.

first lets begin with the characters, for that Accelerator is the main Protagonist in this manga unlike the 1st to aru majutsu series where Accelerator played as the antagonist but because of last order he became the protagonist of his own story and that what makes the awesome character of this manga.

The story is pure awesomeness and read more

Accelerator is great, the manga is not… yet. At least, its potential haven’t really been fully realised since there’s so few chapters of it out so far (as of this writing, 27 chapters have been translated into Chinese.).

Story-wise, it is technically still in its first arc. Yeah, the story pacing is really, really drawn out. And interestingly enough, there is magic introduced into a manga that was supposedly about the really dark parts of Academy City, since that is what Accelerator is associated with. It takes place right after Accelerator gets nerfed in the novels. (So really, you shouldn’t be read more

The only reason to read this spin-off is if you are desperate for a few chapters of Accelerator being badass and Last Order being cute. Otherwise, this series is a mess that tramples over existing ideas from the Toaru series and introduces mostly dissapointing, underdeveloped new ideas.

The new villainous organizations are very one note and use incredibly powerful machinery with no explanation in a similar vein to the anime filler arcs of Railgun. The new support characters seem endearing during the calm moments at the beginning of each arc, but they hardly get any weighty development as you might have come to expect from reading read more
