I was attracted by the beautiful art and gave it a try, despite the synopsis sounding like a trite story about a group of people watching movies and a robot that watches movies with them.

However, the story is so much more.

If I had to sum it up, these robots want the protagonist's seed because of it may be able to create soldiers and there were two people who were sent to protect him.

This is better than most harems in my opinion because the story is somewhat coherent.

Also, the protagonist is far from cool but isn't that annoying.

The fights are quite fun and the ... possibility of more allies from the future to counter the past and the truth in the future makes this story quite enticing.

Perfection? hardly. a fun romcom battle harem manga? yes

it's a good break from intense thinking activities. Try it, you have nothing to lose!

Story: 8

Shinjou Maita is a middle school hopeless romantic. One day a first-year girl comes up to him after he gets pummeled asking if he is alright. Thinking that his life is looking up, he quickly falls in love with her. After about a day of knowing her she confesses her love to him. He happily returns home to find that he seems to be in the midst of a robbery. The girl whom he thinks is robbing him warns him to stay away from any and all girls he encounters...



It's intriguing to say the least. It's definitely... Different. The story could work for a ... hentai so I'm interested in seeing how it will be used in a manga. People will compare it to terminators lots because of the robots and the future stuff. But there are tons of differences in overall plot.

Art: 9

The character designs seem to have a lot of thought put into them. The MC especially differs from the standard brown-haired, big-eyed, shaggy short-hair cliche that is supposed to make you feel as if you are them. This is a good thing because it allows you to feel as if you are reading an actual story.

Character: 10

Each character is different and they do not have cliche personalities. They all seem capable of reacting differently in different situations. These characters are definitely not cookie-cutter. There are quite a few lolis though~.

Enjoyment: 8

My personal enjoyment is pretty high due the fact that this manga is satirical to how anime and manga have to have its tsunaderes, derederes, yanderes etc. in a sense that it constantly makes fun of the characters for trying to act a certain way. I also enjoyed the references to older movies.

Overall: 8

I have to give this manga an eight because of the way it handled its satire, it wasn't over the top and in your face. It is definitely worth checking out. It's a breath of fresh air, something new. I will be reading it as new volumes come out.

Hahaha damn! I was laughed so hard when read the last chapter, REALLY I MEAN IT! What was that?! Imagine a story that was developed so good, then all of the possibilities on how the story would goes closed, and the resolves compressed IN A CHAPTER! I don't know what to say. Is this what people call 'twist ending' or 'forced ending'? I think this manga did the latter.

I kinda disappointed at how the story ended. I had read some short mangas that also have roughly 2-3 volumes, and they did good at developed the story till it ended. But this manga is different.

Ok, let's ... do a proper review.

The story: 7/10
Okay, the story of this manga is somehow mentioning future, when some people (who appeared to be some loli) came from the future to save a person whose the 'seeds' may become a savior of the world later. Do you know what are the 'seeds'? Sperms. Yes, sperms. Actually their duty is to keep a high school boy's sperms from villains who was ordered to kill the boy who somehow will become a world's hero's father. What an interesting premise, right? (Did you get what i said? If you didn't, i'm sorry for my bad english :D and then jump to the last paragraph to see my overall part.)

From this point, i suggested you to assume that this manga has a lot chapters, because that's what i did when i wrote this review. Why did i do that, because when i read this manga i somehow put some hope on the story. It was a good sci-fi comedy story with many funny moments and sometime (or rarely) the MC throwed a short parody tsukkomi that made the scene more hilarious. Unfortunately, signs of a 'forced ending' (or so i say) began to show up at the last pages of the 13th chapter (the one before the last.)

Yeah, it's not like i totally hated the way this story went. I appreciated every manga and anime i enjoyed. Actually, if the 'forced ending' i said was true, this manga did a good job (yes, good, at least.) The resolve put in the last chapter was a plausible one, even though there were some long-long-long explanations that the characters should had to said (and yet they were roughly made sense.)

That's the flaw part, in my opinion. Actually there's a part in this story that I REALLY LOVE IT SO MUCH LOL!! Unfortunately, if i tell it here it would become a huge spoiler to you all the readers, so read the manga if you curious :D

I actually do not really understand about art and how someone made a manga, but i think this manga has a good art and tidy panels, the character art is also consistent. In my opinion, who is just a mere manga reader, this manga doesn't has any flaw in it's art.

Great characters, and hilarious to see that every character has its own way to make a funny scene, like the MC, an almost-shut-in high school student who found himself being protected by a badass loli robot (?) came from the future, or another loli who is the one in charge on that duty. There was a good potential in developing the characters, or maybe (in my opinion) every one of them can have their own arc, if the story was not ended so early.

The enjoyment: 8/10
Like another short story, this manga is like a wind, that is so good to be felt, but it's just for a moment. But after all, i enjoyed every chapter of this manga that consistently funny in its own way.

Overall: technically it's 8/10 if you count the average rate. But personally i gave it 7 out of 10, maybe because of that 'disappointed feeling' i had after read the last chapter. I still felt it, i hope the author is so generous he would make a sequel :( I mean it, since it's rare for me to like a sci-fi manga.

Finally, for you who is looking for some lolis; who is like sci-fi manga; who is looking for a 'twist ending' ; who needs some SHORT manga to fulfill your boredom; i recommend this funny manga.

Who wouldn't want to read Terminator in rom-com manga version?
The story itself is reference to Terminator movies, but also contains many good references to other more and less known works.

Boku ni Koisuru Mechanical is mostly a cute comedy. It doesn't take itself too seriously. Despite dangerous situation, the mood is always lighthearted. Even the enemies were fun and, despite being dangerous to our protagonists, didn't really feel like bad guys that you want to die. So yeah, cute side of story is top-notch. Comedy is also rather high. Jokes were mostly funny and didn't rely on annoying cliches. On the other hand, I'd rate ... both action and romance below average. Action scenes... I barely remember them. Romance? There is some near the end and that's it.
In my opinion, the main reason for this manga's low score is axed ending. Author managed to very skillfully end everything in single chapter, making it actually pretty fun and nice finale, but just seeing how many loose ends got tied there makes you regret you can't read it in a way it was planned to be - makes you aware how much potential has been wasted.

Characters go pretty well with the cute and comedic aspect of this manga. They look cute, behave in cute ways and have cute and funny personalities. On the other hand they kind of lack personality. I know I shouldn't expect much from such light manga, but it felt like some of them had potential for some real development. Most probably another result of story being cut short.

Art? Other than having right amount of cuteness it wasn't that impressive. It did good job at showing what it was meant to show, but nothing more. No memorable facial emotions, detailed backgrounds or anything like that. It's clean and easy to read.

To sum it up, Boku ni Koisuru Mechanical is great fun until you suddenly hit last chapter. Author did nothing wrong, manga did nothing wrong. It just ended far too soon. This is the only major downside for me.
It doesn't change the fact that it was really fun to read while it lasted. Don't let me discourage you - the ending is quite satisfying and I believe this manga is really worth reading.

What reasons i have for reading this well i just randomly picked this and i stuck around because the art and i want to see how the story unfolds.

To summaries this whole 6 chapters i read it feels like The terminator movies if you liked the movies and you like harem slice of life/school life this manga is what your looking for.
