This is such a short manga, yet it took me so long to read, mostly because I was so disappointed. The first couple of chapters were wonderfully hilarious. The premise was rather funny, and Naru's thickheaded-ness combined with Mamoru's inability to convey his feelings were exaggerated to the point that it felt like a parody of stereotypical yaoi tropes. However, the following chapters did away with those running gags for the most part, and instead heavily focused on the romance, ironically portraying the very cliches the manga started out mocking.
In addition, I felt like the art was significantly worse in the third chapter, and while it got better again after, it was never quite good enough to make up for the generic plotline. read more
