I think the concept seems really interesting, but I probably personally don’t think it was well executed maybe?
It seemed a bit all over the place at times, and that could just be that is was rushed to all fit in 19 chapters. They kept introducing characters and I feel like I really only needed to know the main girl and boy. Limiting the characters would give them more time to BUILD those two instead of feeling so scattered. I came close to dropping it after the first 8 chapters, but I decided to persevere! Surprisingly I liked the idea of the plot, at first, I really thought it was something like something of black humor, I did not pay so much attention to it, however, as the truth progressed, I caught the attention of the characters and this idea the somewhat strange truth of Himeko.
in the end the characters were to my liking, including some who are true villains in this series.... but it's a shame that there is only so little of the plot and it stayed so open.... as a final answer what I liked most was the development, although it is too quaint and quirky Himeko helps ... |
