xxxHOLiC: Rei is a very... interesting yet mean read. After coming hot off the heels that was xxxHOLic's over depressing and rushed ending you would hope this new continuation would try to maybe rework that ending.

xxxHolic, in my opinion, serves as a continuation of the main series, but exactly how well does it do in that regard? For starters, everything about the series is relatively consistent, and it appears that the status quo has been restored since the ending. Allegedly so, anyway. With this brings back a fair amount of the original manga's pluses and negatives: pacing, writing, how much you like the characters, are all hit-or-miss for the most part, and this is large dependent on how you felt towards the main manga as a whole.
