Both are about mountain climbing, show the possible outcomes doing such a climb. Both also delve into climbing techniques, and show the psychological effect of mountain climbing. If you enjoyed Peak, you will enjoy Kokou no hito. Vice versa.

Both manhwa are about people in trouble (either because of fire or getting injured in the mountains), and their rescuers trying to save them before it's too late. *Both of these are pretty realistic (the people finding themselves in deep misery, at least) *The two of them have a strong and emotional build-up of stress and anticipation for the outcome. <> Peak is a lot more violent and graphic than 1 Second.

Incredibly emotional manga about people who were having misfortune leading to severe injuries, even deaths due to not being saved in time. *NOT for people who cannot stand bloody and mangled bodies/corpses or other graphic shots of people struggling to hold onto life. <> Lucifer no Migite: MC is a doctor, Peak: MC knows basic medical aid but is no doctor

A significant portion of the story is about rescue, which can get really intense. The main characters are young male adults who are trying their best to bring wounded civilians to safety. <> Megumi no Daigo: Firefighting and rescue, Peak: Rescue with mountain context

These are both manhwa about mandatory service in korea, as well as some compelling slice of life plot points between the more serious parts of the story that leave you feeling pretty cozy

People who don't expect nature to be harsh and cruel end up in all sorts of rough situations, be it finding themselves stuck while injured, or causing another tragedy involving materialistic damage. These manga are about training and going into the field to solve those kind of casualties in the best way possible, though loss and pain are part of the job.
