Well, they're both pretty reliant on the mystery behind everything, both consists of "witches", they're also both really reliant on character progression. Although, i'd say Fata does it better in a wider scale (executing the minor characters better.) Whereas i'd say Umineko's main cast is a bit stronger. Both story's are really grounded in their expression. Both narrative's are thematically brilliant & complex. Also again, they got pretty similar characters, both symbolically, conceptually, progression, etc.. Wise. They also tackle similar themes/ideas, such as despair, escapism, Love, identity etc. They are also both pretty meta. In any case, if you like Fata, then i'm sure you'll like  read more

Grand finale to long running franchise, this last piece of puzzle offers greatly written twists and surprises and well executed subverting of expectations, with stories that employ quite interesting characters.

The grande finale of quite long mysteries spanning dozens of volumes, the previously laid foreshadowing now all bears fruit as all is revealed and the story is concluded. Both are written by Ryukishi07.
