Minami's Lover is a nice, short little read about a teenager couple dealing with the fact that one of them has shrunk to a few inches high. Minami, the boyfriend, and Chiyomi, the girlfriend, are the couple in question, and being that they are teenagers, it comes as no surprise that sex gets brought up quite frequently, although the story doesn't shy away from mentioning the logistics behind taking care of someone a few inches high, like eating, bathing, using the bathroom, etc.

being that Minami has gone full-blown caretaker, you can definitely see how it changes the nature of their relationship. Chiyomi is completely dependent on Minami for almost everything. He has to make her clothing, feed her, help her bathe, etc. In many ways it's very similar to real life relationships where one spouse has to assume the role of caretaker.
This story is fairly lighthearted given the circumstances, which is why the ending will really catch you off guard. Though, given the definite somber undertones it has, it fits. Honestly I was expecting it to be left open-ended on whether Chiyomi turns back or not, but no, it gives a very definitive conclusion.
Overall, it was really entertaining! The story is fun and the art style is endearing, it has a bit of a slice-of-life tone about it, and the physical cover of the book it cute, too. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice afternoon read.
