The art in both of them is very pretty. Also they're both funny. They have twisting plots that aren't just you're regular little shoujo. For example, in shinshi the school they go to is rich and strict and there are a lot of family problems and such and you're always surprised what will happen next. In girl queen the school is kind of different and it focuses around queen candidates. Both the girls are great fighters and basically thy're both really good.Better than I make them sound, so just read them!

The main characters are both crazy strong and just go their own way, without a care in the world. They both have a guy they like. The two are both special. (ex: Girl Queen- candidate for queen. Tiara- homunculus.

Both stories have strong female leads with somehow similar personalities and a boy hiding a terrible secret about his origins. Both are set on a fantasy/magical world different than ours and both series include school for magic. What is more the humor is kind of similar(sometimes quite random and unexpected)

For starters, ~both have two girls competing to be the queen ~both have a pair of girls with opposite personalities ~both have love triangles ~both deal with fantasy/magical elements~

These two series have nothing in common in their plots nor their artwork, but if you have read one series through to the end and found interest in the "circle of events" shown finally you may like the other, too.

Both are from the same author. They share a similiar sort of setting, as both are set in a fantasy world where magic exists, but not all are able to use it. They have both the same style of humour, in which the series occasionally does not take itself all too seriously. Especially do have Velotte from Platina and June from Girl Queen/Little Queen some strikinng resemblances in their character. The plots are diffrent, but some of the narrating style is pretty similiar, too.

Both series are widely considered "very confusing". Little Queen jumps between flashbacks and flashforwards, Arcanas jumps forth and back in a similiar manner. Both are fantasy, through Arcana is a bit more towards the direction of high-fantasy with its elfs and dragon races.
