I must say, I may be ever so slightly biased toward this manga because the anime was the first anime I had ever watched. However watching the anime and reading manga both gave a different feeling. The manga contained much more josei themes while the anime belonged to the shoujo genre.

The overall plot is quite beautiful, however I do not believe that it should've ended the way it ended. I felt that the whole story revolved on Georgie chasing after Lowell all the way to London and not realizing that the man she loved was always there with her. To state
the obvious, this manga is a coming of age story and about how Georgie will be able to discover herself as she learns more about the past. However, the ending to the anime and the manga ripped my heart to shreds as you will see/saw if you choose/chose to read this.
I personally was never really a fan of the late 1900's manga art with the really black eyes and lots of light reflecting off of it, but I think that this was really well drawn.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the story as it had me riding on the 'feels coaster'. I will say that the manga is pretty well made as it makes you grow attached to each of the main characters. However, this story is not for everybody especially for those who dislike the bittersweet and sudden endings, but it is still worth the read.
