Synopsis

The Shou Dynasty is an era of widespread famine. Kouran, a girl from a village that cannot afford the taxes, sneaks into the palace to steal its treasure. There she encounters a handsome young man, Shiki. The two meet again the next day, when news that an assassin has killed a prince and made off is being circulated all over the country. Kouran suspects Shiki is the assassin, but his genuine kindness perplexes her...

Preliminary
First of all, this manga is amazing and I loved every panel of it. WHY AREN'T THE CHAPTERS ALL TRANSLATED
oh and also this is my first review so excuse me if some of it doesn't make any sense :')

Story:
It starts off a bit rocky imo, and is a bit rushed, but after the first chapter or so you just hit it right off with Kouran and Shiki!!

Art:
Honestly, the art is one of the reasons why I love this manga so much. Shiki is just 👌 For a fangirl like me man, he's perfect. The art is gorgeous.

Characters:
Mikado no Shihou really shines in this area. read more

Preliminary
It is a shame that I am unable to finish this series. It is difficult to find a completed version of this manga or in any of the book stores I went to However, I read up to chapter 20, and I enjoyed this more than I thought. Without spoiling too much, the first impression may throw you off, especially the characters and the obvious romance between the short girl (Kouran) and the handsome man (Shiki). This novel is surprisingly pure, so I immediately was hooked once I read past the third chapter. Besides the fluffiness, the main characters are easy to like. Kouran is read more
