When doing “good” turns terrifying.

This manga caught me off guard. At first, it looks like your typical revenge story: bullied kid, trauma, chance for power.
But Asura isn’t your average protagonist, he wants to stay good… but the more he tries, the more messed up things get.
And then you start wondering if he’s slowly losing it.

The violence is raw and unfiltered.

The Dark Trio of Shonen— Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Jigokuraku— have been cited by fans to have paved the way for a new age of darker, more morally complex titles to come out of the Shonen genre. Asura’s Verdict fits this new era perfectly. It is a new generation Death Note, with a protagonist who thinks he’s doing the right thing by sending bullies and those who do wrong to the underworld. The plot is ...

This manga is pretty interesting. It has a revenge-esque premise, but it isn't really about revenge. This manga isn't overly as edgy or poorly written as Juujika no Rokunin or other revenge fantasy manga's, and has a stark contrast between the actual plot, and the art style. The main character seems to be pretty simplistic, even though the themes presented by him are pretty unique, though I would hope instead of relying on backstories and random happenstances, he pushes ...
