Nyan Koi is one of those romcom manga that have aged like milk over the years and I can only imagine it'll get worse.

The main character has a bit more character than your average harem MC but he's still not all that memorable. Besides his whole love hate schtick towards cats he's the typical "nice guy" who helps everyone out and is an overall nothing burger most of the time.

The same could be said of the other characters, especially Mizuno and Kanako, the main love interests.

This is one of those harem series where NO ONE except the childhoodfriend and the girl on the cover ... have a genuine chance of getting with the main character. As such they are often times the most annoying with the love triangle drama that comes with it.

Pretty much every other girl after the main two end up becoming a gag character, they show up sometimes to look cute but there's often no genuine relationship development.

If I had to rank the girls:
-Nagi would take the top spot for being actually kind of funny.
-The twins come in second for having a decent comedy dynamic with Kousuke.
-Mizuno is a cuck
-And Kanako is the worst one. Her """romantic""" moments are so forced.

The mail delivery lady is boring, not even sure if she was supposed to be an actual love interest or an instanst gag with no chances from the start.

The manga sadly ended without a real ending due to a decade long hiatus. From what I heard the author had problems with his health and was planning to come back to it eventually, but it seems it's never getting one.

Overall it's dated, alright if you just wanna have something to quick to read while on a work break like me. Otherwise I wouldn't reccomend it.
