I had such high hopes for the premise and the start of this comic but just like some of the plot the hope was over fast.
Miss Guillotine tries it's best to be the edgiest magical girl comic it can be, though it falls flat on it's face in terms of actual nuance when compared to actually good dark magical girl manga/shows. The story is severally rushed in several arcs but only at points that you'd expect to be a bit more drawn out which is saying something because the bits you'd expect to fly through slog on the most.
The art itself is pretty simple
...
but nice to look at, there are sometimes when it's a bit rough, but I accept this is because it's a webcomic that has to be done in possibly a weekly basis with a smaller team than a lot of mangaka will have to back them up. However, the use of colours to define each character is well thought out. The magical girl designs were either a hit or a miss, though I'd say they all definitely looked like magical girls rather than just a cute dress.
The ending is naff, absolutely the worst thing ever. It suffers from the abruptness and it feels like it tries to make up for it by doing an epilogue but honestly the finale episode just left me with no energy to continue on with the series.
