I have read only 6 chapters so far, so I don’t know much about what the development of the manga is, so bear that in mind. From the start, the manga was fine to read but now it went so low in its value because how carefree and careless the mc became. Spoilers ahead. I will try to minimize them but still, read at your own risk.
I would imagine that the idea of isekai for many is about blending in with that world as an outsider and keeping secrets as long as it is possible. This in itself is one of the interests, in my
...
opinion, isekai readers like. Revealing many things to a person that you met not long ago even though you had your guard up against for a while is not logical. Only one thing was made by the other party to gain the mc trust. Another point that brings manga like this down is that even though it is set in a fantasy world, many illogical things happen everywhere, where logic should be used.
Don’t read the following if you are still want to read the manga. Skip to the last two paragraphs if you don’t want to be spoiled.
Let’s talk about the mc first. He was a middle-aged man before getting transported but now he looks like a guy in his teens with no self-awareness, nor sense of security of one's personal secrets. He blushes to people that are far younger than him. He has no sense of money although he is an adult. He was not doing well in his old world so shouldn’t that make his intuition stronger? Guess not.
The only thing one could like about him is the fact that he is afraid to take a life since he came from a modern world.
I will give you a good example why there is not much log in this manga: The guild employee liked the fact that someone is doing the chores and small quests that no one takes, usually that is the case. But at one point of the manga, the same guild employee suddenly forces a hunting quest on him, a person who is in the guild of adventurers (where you are free to do the work that you want if it is there), and in a situation where his cleaning or doing chores are fine as it is. I know it is to drive the plot, but there are many ways to make a scene happen.
Another illogical thing: chapter 5: MC visits the merchant guild, and he tells the guild master that he wants to sell a metal bar. (1 thing is missing is that he doesn't tell her how many he wants to sell but she immediately knows that he wants to sell 30) And this happens after he tells her that he was short on money, and he had to do cleaning jobs. She does nothing regarding that. No reaction, no questioning, no doubting as if that was natural to be poor but with pricy metal on your hand. I find that illogical for (his first trade a person who is an adult and should know how money works) and it being with the guild master (where huge success equals more need of being wary of others) and let’s leave her kindness aside please. Being only kind and illogical doesn't bring you so much success that you can become a guild master, I would assume, but apparently it can happen in this manga. Another factor we need to talk about is the metal. It is a super rare metal, meaning that negotiation for a price is what should come next, trading and negotiation is part of this manga since his abilities are about resources. But there are no negotiations here.
End of spoilers
Many manga/anime who specialize in something or feature something, tend to dictate which part of the manga is well developed by the author. Food wars have cooking school with cooking hierarchy. Fantasy worlds with female villains in them have royalty and nobility as verbal wars is what excels here. This doesn't have much here in this manga unfortunately.
It is just another generic isekai with cheat abilities that can make the mc rich.
