Synopsis

"Level up even while offline?! That's not a game on 'easy mode'—that's just an AFK game!" The online game Kenichi Yamada had been playing religiously is shutting down its servers, leaving him with a void in his heart. He looks for a new game to fill it, but everything he finds is way too easy. The kind of game he likes—the kind punishing enough to make players want to spend thousands of hours on it—just isn't around anymore.

"What's this? 'You are invited to a game that will never end.'" Kenichi stumbles upon an untitled game, one promising incomparable challenge with unprecedented potential. Without hesitation, he selects the "Hell Mode" difficulty. Lo and behold, he finds himself reincarnated in another world as a serf! Now called Allen, he sets out to unlock the secrets of his mystery-laden Summoner class; without the convenience of walkthroughs, game guides, or online forums, he must grope his way to the top of his new world!

Preliminary (13/? eps)
Plot: OG World of Warcraft(i'm guessing) gamer gets bored of modern mobile style gacha games and looks online for a new game to play, finds weird website, picks the hardest difficulty. The benefits of this difficulty are that it provides an infinite potential for growth. He then picks summoner as a class, one that is still in development. After finishing his character creation he is reincarnated into this world. Since he picked the hardest starting conditions, he is born as a serf, and that is where the story begins.

I really enjoyed this story. The main character's thoughts and ideas make sense, and he really does ...

Based off all 3 currently released LN's

God Gamer who finds modern games too easy gets isekai'd to a typical fantasy world in which people have "Talents" which are basically just classes (swordsman, mage, etc.) that determine the growth ceiling of that person. BUT unlike everyone else, the MC has a completely unique class and is stuck in Hell Mode, which means it takes him 100x more experience to level up than everyone else.

The concepts present in the novel are fairly cliché but are executed well and the majority of the enjoyment comes from the MC slowly learning about the world he's in and how ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (125/? eps)
Ive read till Vol 6 and here is my take on Hell Mode LN.

I personally enjoyed the first two novels a lot more than i expected, the build up felt good and it took time to give a nice climax in the second volume.
The power system of the world felt a little basic to me, but the MC's class is very interesting and was fun to see how it turned out after every skill up.

Maybe since the story is focused on the MC's perspective, I didn't feel too connected with a lot of characters starting from vol 3 onwards and didn't notice any much character ...
