A manga about the female lead having a perfect image but is actually really lazy and loves potato chips? Hmm. Where have I seen this concept before… You know, a stark difference between this and “Umaru-Chan” would definitely be the tone of the story, as one is much more serious than the other, making the story and fmc less jarring than the other.
To be blunt, the set-up of this manga is a bit ideal, but when has a harem esk romance manga not have outlandish plot points. Ignoring that, the story is a bit wholesome and cute at first, but the story becomes deeper
...
than you’d think.
The initial chapters seem more like a facade for what you’re getting yourself into since the later chapters is when the plot truly “thickens,” as the characters motives become more defined, and it’s honestly a bit touching to read.
However, I do have problems with certain plot points here and there where the rich vs poor difference is emphasized a bit too much, making the story quite annoying.
The characters, whom I noted on briefly, are mostly love or hate. This mainly applies to the fmc, as her act quickly becomes tiring, and the side characters or heroines seem much more of a natural/likable character, but she’s being well-developed, so I don’t have any complaints there. As for the mc, he’s, for once, not your usual self-insert and actually has a personality.
A very promising manga that isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, and it has relatively deep plot points and storytelling for what you’d usually get out of a story of its nature. It’s a bit less comedic and more story-based, which I don’t hate at all.
