Synopsis

After his father's remarriage, Yuuta Asamura ends up getting a new stepsister, coincidentally the number one beauty of the school year, Saki Ayase. Having learned important values when it comes to relationships between men and women through the previous ones of their parents, they promise each other not to be too close, not to be too opposing, and to merely keep a vague and comfortable distance.

On one hand, Saki, who has worked in solitude for the sake of her family, doesn't know how to properly rely on others, whereas Yuuta is unsure of how to really treat her. Standing on fairly equal ground, these two slowly learn the comfortable sensation of living together.

Their relationship slowly evolves from being strangers the more the days pass. This is a story that may lead to love someday.

Usually, I only feel the urge to write a review if something is obscure and deserves more attention, or something touched me deeply. This one doesn't fit in either of those.

Instead, this review is fueled by hatred and written out of spite.
I'm only writing this review to shit on the seemingly recent-yet-common trope of being self aware, with this manga being the worst offender I've come across so far.

Frankly, this manga is annoying, and the author comes off as constantly insecure, because he feels the need to remind the readers that "Usually in manga or novels this would happen, but this is real life", constantly ...

I dont like to review stuff and more so i dont like to review stuff like this manga since i have read so much stuff like it that i just hate but continue to read like this one


BUT the reason i want to review it is because the art is really good for something of this garbage quality that its surprising like usually this type of boring ,inconsistant ,unrealistic beyond japan level of weird stuff (i mean in character interactions)has horrible i mean horribly horrindece art that makes the characters cute and fluffy in a panel and deformed naruto pause level of (mind me saying) ...

This review is for the manga version of Gimai Seikatsu. I read until chapter 7 (which covers whole vol 1 of LN) as per time of writing.

First of all the background is not your typical type of romance and slice of life as it brings two people from broken home family together. The story is slow paced as this is SoL and for sure it will take time for 2 people to adjust in new life.

There is not much to talk about here since these 7 chapters (all vol 1 of LN) is simply more towards to introduction of what the future story will ...
