First of all I'm a male so this manga isn't made for me so my review should be more or less considered as male perspective.
Story 2/10 (by MAL 2= Dreadful)
While reading this story I was feeling cringy and dreadful almost from all 12 chapters. Actions made from FL are understandable considering her age and I would even go further she seems to be the more mature one and more intelligent one in the story while ML is how should I put it....A person with mental disability who somehow went in to uni and even finished it.
But now for the
...
crux, authors are bad really bad. They made up a artificial problem to start with and expanded it to the size of elephant and the whole story plot hangs on this synthetic plot point if it were cease to exist this story would crumble like dried bread. While authors try to be consistent (which is amazing), their story is most likely unreal especially in Japanese setting, by the way Japanese are far more liberal in regards to age difference than in western hemisphere.
This story is made for 16-20 year old girls +/- few years but for more mature women and men this story would be hard to read.
Art 8/10
Art is probably the most redeeming quality of this manga, while background is made lazy sometimes (blank background or low detail) I didn't notice it much but characters are detailed and appealing and have normal proportions (shoujo and shounen I'm looking at you). Panel placement and speech bubbles are up to industry standard meaning they are readable and no confusion.
Character 6/10
For now I would say I like FL and supporting cast (they actually help) I got this feeling like ML is a black hole (mass wise) and every character tries to pull him up but since his THAT "heavy" and stupid it's almost impossible.
FL - is somewhat smart, cheerful, positive, likeable with a dose of stupidity that goes with that age which is completely normal. Possibly bad judgment of character and sturdy as a ram.
ML - Mr.Blackhole immeasurably stupid even though we have internet and people around us (talking about the main crux of the story which by definition is only problematic for ML). He isn't consistent, going from stoic persona to complete sociopath (yeah yeah girls like those types), while he has some redeeming traits he is more of abusive husband architype, he beats you up and after half an hour he lovingly and forcefully bends you over while gifting flowers to you sometimes and noticing that you have a new hairstyle (La'romantique).
Supports for now at least are trying their best to help out to pacify the idiocy of ML but his mass is way heavier than their strength combined.
Enjoyment 3/10
While I had some enjoyment but it was utterly shadowed by feelings of dreadfulness and cringe, ML actions, morals and convictions are shallow and are mostly based on one particular event. FL actions while annoying they are what I saw in real life many times over and even can be considered a classical troupe of some women psyche.
My enjoyment went to the gutters each time I saw any interactions between ML and FML it felt too unreal too artificial shackles try to hold this story that ultimately you cannot enjoy it without constant bitterness in your mouth.
Overall 5/10
I would not recommend it for mature people (mentally) and people over their late 20'. This story is more appealing for young girls who fantasize about stoic, sociopath's (contradictory personality). And also probably I would recommend it for narcissistic or sociopathic guys it's a great story and manual on how to entangle a girl.....
Overall it barely got 5 if not for art it would get a 4.
AHTUNG!!!! WARNING!!!
SOME SPOILERS BELOW
The crux of the story is that Male lead is concerned that about age gap of 6 years between FL AND ML only because in school he heard a similar age gap story about teacher and a student (23 and 17) and the girl said to the police "thinking about it know, I think I was forced". C'mon you have to be brain dead not to understand that student and teacher relationship by themselves are problematic (age doesn't matter much) + age difference is crucial before you finish school because you are still mentally developing and you have completely different perspective of life (when you start living independently and working a lot changes).
And regarding Japanese culture 6 years isn't a catastrophe and is more or less normal especially when 20 vs 26, 12 vs 18 is problematic I agree but 20 vs 26 is not stigmatic. So as I wrote previously authors created fantasy like problem inflated it and made this story, the crux is fake a fake fantasy and thus the whole story crumbles because the foundation was made of wax.
