While there is no development in time and ages of characters (with one exception), the story features really good character development. It is a very enjoyable read and, at times, I laughed until my sides hurt. As a fellow socially inept person, many of the struggles faced by the MC were oddly relatable, even if they were slightly exaggerated for comedic effect. Although it might be cliche, it's fun seeing how the story progresses and how the dynamics between characters evolve over time.

Makes for a good calming read when you have nothing else to do but wallow in self-pity and subject yourself to some self-deprecating ... humour as you lament that you have nothing to do and no one to be with during a weekend night.

To follow the life of Itai Shiori is like watching a tiny and precious trainwreck. It gets personal very quickly, too, because you’ll care about her from page one. Itai wants a boyfriend but she doesn’t quite know how to go about it and is not the best at reading social situations. And so comedic yet painful events follow.

The way the story unfolds is really clever in this one. Most of the text is not dialogue, but narration, like we’re watching Itai’s with the narrator and she too often will get flabbergasted about her actions. This really puts you in a position of wanting to ... help Itai. A lot. But you can’t. You’re forced to watch as she moves along being silly and living her painful comedy day by day.

A very engaging narrative and a very interesting read. If you enjoy awkward female protagonists and painful laughter, this title has you covered. The art is simple but it has a very unique charm I don’t quite remember seeing anywhere else. The author has a way of coming up with excellent facial expressions for the characters and even though it’s a simple, straightforward way of drawing the characters, there’s an attention to detail to the expressions that really adds a very special quality to them, it’s hard to put my finger on it. I guess you’ll have to read it to find out by yourself.

Itai Onee-san wa Suki Desu ka, huh? Would like to read a slice of life story about a clumsy and a bit airheaded OL? This manga is for you!

Story: It started really slow I think, just showing us funny/stupid situations our heroine stumbles upon. Making it look like she's a pathetic, pitiful character just for the sake of sympathizing. Some people make comparison to Watamote, but I didn't find any similarities to be honest. But nevertheless, by continuing your read, you may find the story more interesting since it'd also involve romance. You may see progression, but with a little sloppiness of the main ... character included. It's cute, in a way.
There's only 100 chapters and they are really easy to read. It took me about 3 days, since I've been busy, but it was a good read.

Characters: Excluding the main character Itai, there's not much. In my opinion new characters were introduced a little late and weren't really developed or revealed fully, not that it's a hard requirement. But I would like to see more of these background characters, like horror-manga artist or cheerful kombini worker from Thai. But again, the author said it's his first work which evolved from a 5 page one shot.

Art: It's fine/mediocre. Doesn't snatch stars from the sky, literally. But it's enjoyable, again it's a slice of life manga.

I found this title quite randomly to be honest. So here's my humble opinion on this:I liked it! Despite mixed reviews here, on MAL, I decided to give it a shot and I regret nothing. It's 6.7 out of 10!
