The creature is actually a raccoon dog called Tanuki...tanuki are famous for being fat and cute and there's lots of myths and urban legends about tanukis..
Anyway the woman is beautifully drawn and i live her style.. short hair looks cool and nice and lean figure of the girl is certainly attractive..the drawing style is eye catching..
The tanuki is cute and cudly.. like all cute animals in manga...
I love rain.. so this fits perfectly and the title caught my eye...

Gag manga, lots of comedy, hot woman, cute animal, slow slice of life... Very enjoyable read...
Short and sweet manga about a woman and her new strange pet.

Ame to Kimi to is a lovely read. Due to it feeling like a gag manga, there is not really much of a story to talk about. A woman finds an animal and takes it in, living through various encounters with other people and funny situations.
Personally, I liked the artstyle, it had a warm and clean feeling to it, which suited the manga amazingly well.
The characters that appear during the chapters, especially the two main characters, are all absolutely loveable and you take a liking to them almost instantly!
The sketches are overall really cute and also funny from time to time, which leads me to ... the conclusion that "Ame to Kimi to" is a small, but priceless recommendation when it comes to cute slice of life manga.
You may not find grand story lines or the likes, but you will surely find a good time. 7/10
