These are so meticulously drawn that at multiple instances while reading I had to go back and read the dialogue again because I was too busy staring a hole into the art the first time around and to top it off every single one of them is extremely well written- they're all *good* stories in their own right.

Manga about protagonists that's lives changed for the better due to a change in how they see the world, themselves and those around them, though there are some that must go through hardships before they are able to change.

The change in these protagonists aren't instant and some of the included protagonists take a long time to change or just have a more natural gradual change that is more apparent once you have gotten further into the story.

The Mangas and Light Novels featured here must have strong sales and/or awards, or other external factors such as their publication magazine, the author's popularity, localization, availability in manga and light novel format, and any rumors or leaks.

New rule: Once the confirmed series finally releases, I will then remove them from the list and replace them. So as long as the show haven't come out from now on (7/7/2023), I will keep it on my list till it comes out.

This list includes all types of dance, from break dance, ballet, ballroom dancing, ice dance, to modern dance.

Note: I did not include titles that revolve around gymnastics, idols, cheerleading, or acting, as they do not feature dancing as the main theme. I also did not include titles that were excessively explicit, or titles I couldn't find any information about. I also included some manwha and manhua from MAL's database.

Highly-detailed. Simplistic. Dreamlike and magical. Realistic. Heavily stylized. Bold lines. Sketchy lines. Effective shading and highlights. Panels structured for dynamic visual storytelling that make full use of their medium rather than putting box after box in front of you because it is "just a comic".

What makes up "good art" is subjective. Regardless, some manga have a certain quality to their visuals that sets them apart from others.

The below selections contain different types of art and composition, but each of them makes the best use of it for the story they want to tell.

Mangas with compelling visual elements that together give the mangas a cinematic feel which I think would make for incredible anime, aesthetically-speaking.

The ingredients these mangas have for stunning anime:
- captivating and thorough CHARACTER DESIGN resulting in iconic characters (visual attractiveness a strong bonus for me)
- rich, detailed illustrations to create atmospheric/immersive SETTING
- stylised, vivid/realistic, detailed but polished ART with a degree of distinctiveness in style
- compelling, dynamic COMPOSITION and/or creative, evocative and fluid PANELLING that make the manga read like watching a film

Stack notes:
- While the mangas have to varying degrees all the listed qualities, I note for each work the “notable” aka its most outstanding quality that makes it cinematic
- I’ve read, am reading, or PTR but have looked through parts of (denoted by “initial impression”) the listed mangas; stack will be updated accordingly
- Includes unadapted and adapted works; adaptations themselves are irrelevant as they don’t affect the mangas’ quality

As the title suggests, this is a collection of sports manga series I checked out in one measure or another and I found them enjoyable to a degree.

Some are my favorites and I figured most of these are not some of the most well-known (even if certain titles are having a breakthrough).

For the record when I say Sports Manga I mean anything from football, basket, volley, baseball, and martial arts to racing, mahjong, shogi, ice skating, or pole dancing. All is there for me.

"New" here means anything from 2015 forward. This stack holds some very well-known titles, yes, but the vast majority are quite unknown and deserve far more attention. All these titles are manga series I either read, am currently reading, or at very least checked out, even briefly. Enjoy!
