Ichido dake demo, Koukai Shitemasu is a breath of fresh air, and I think might be the best portrayal of a lesbian romance I've seen in yuri manga. Oftentimes there isn't much effort actually given to the process of discovering you might be queer, and the flood of emotions that come with that discovery. Ichido dake demo, Koukai Shitemasu handles the entire process with real respect for its characters. The manga also isn't padded with the annoying tropes of romance manga, there's no padding of will they won't they, instead we simply see characters trying to understand their feelings and come to terms with not ... being straight. There's no pointless edge, or fights, or annoying misunderstandings that could be solved with a conversation. The characters act like people and are so genuine that I can't help but feel like the story and characters must be based on the author's real experiences.

The only problem is the premise makes it pretty hard to introduce people to what has essentially become my favorite romance manga of all time. If you're looking into reading this, I beg of you please don't ignore it because of the admittedly pretty offputting premise. It's short and sweet and 100% worth your time.

This is a must read for any fan of yuri, moe, slice of life or cuteness in general. If you're looking for something more grand with an overarching and complex plot I suggest looking for something else.

Even If It Was Once I Regret It is a yuri manga centered around the adorable relationship between Chiyo Koduka and Ritsuka Hara, or more commonly referred to as from Koduka as "Landlady." Despite the rather odd start of Hara requesting service of Koduka as a way to pay her rent, be it either simply hugging or something as lewd as sex, their relationship blooms into quite a loving ... and wholesome one despite the seemingly shallow opener from Hara.

Throughout the manga there are countless cute and heartfelt moments between the main pairing, and personally my heart was absolutely going crazy from these interactions between the two. They learn more about one another and grow closer, transcending the original reason of why Hara even began to interact with Koduka. These acts of service from Koduka, be it holding hands, going on dates, making food, kissing and of course sex aren't even really about giving service but more so just things she wants to do with Hara, the more she does these acts the more she enjoys it with her.

The art is beautiful, the cute style is pleasant to experience, easy on the eyes and conveys the story that goes along with it very well. The character designs are attractive, even the supporting characters look amazing rather than being lazily drawn compared to the main couple.

Speaking of the supporting characters, despite the much lower screen time they have they still contribute quite well to the enjoyment of the manga, giving the main couple more cute interactions to have as they spend time with these other characters, such as Koduka's friend Aoi Nishimiya and apartment neighbor Setouchi.

I insist on giving this manga a try, it is no masterpiece but overall is a very fun and enjoyable manga to experience. Even If it Was Once knows what it is and executes it's story very well for what it is. It receives a score of 10 from me due to how much I personally enjoyed it and made me instantly fall in love with the main couple of Koduka and Hara. Everything I'd want in a yuri manga is practically in here.

I rarely write reviews for Anime/Manga I read however I do want to give my opinions on this one. When I start an Anime/Manga I generally will watch some of it at the moment then leave it and most likely not return, however, this one genuinely made me return. One of the main reasons people dislike the whole Yuri genre is because of how forced the relationships are however in this as you watch you can really understand the hardships they had to go through, there is no time skips then BOOM they love each other, you can really feel the development within this manga ... and that's one of the primal reasons I love it. Despite the fact that Landlady is openly lesbian she still makes sure that Chiyo is comfortable, she makes sure to respect her boundaries and follow through with things that Chiyo wants to do. I feel like that's really something worth mentioning within this manga. As far as pacing goes I HIGHLY doubt you'll ever be uninterested nor bored, there's always something new happening between the landlady and Chiyo or maybe even some background characters as well.

Now let's get into the second part of the review, although I Recommend this, this show is definitely gonna be targeted towards a specific age group since it does contain MANY sexual scenes throughout the manga but hey, it definitely adds onto the character development and in this case, it starts the manga off for us.

Cozy gay goodness.

The series is ultimately a cozy read where there isn't too much to it, nor is it horribly bad, it just exists and that is fine.

If you enjoy adorable ladies being cute and getting sexually closer this is for you!

It, unfortunately, starts off with a trope that I don't like; the questionable consent of a one-night stand with a straight character, however as the story goes on it does keep referencing back to that moment in ways that I found thoughtful.

The characters are adorable. Cute. Cozy. They're a hot chocolate on a snowy eve. I want them to succeed and be cute together ... for all eternity. They're such a fun dynamic.

The series is short and, from the afterword in volume 3, I'm not surprised it was cut short. There is so much story that could have been told and at least three side characters that could have had bigger roles, but that's life. With what we have it's a satisfying story focused on how these two characters feel for each other.

There is sex. There is nudity. It's tasteful. Nothing extravagant, but not ignored.

A solid afternoon.

I've never been more pleasantly surprised. The title alone seems comedic, but this manga is nothing but a heartfelt, wholly gay story. It mostly takes place in the home, so you get a LOT of domestic fluff, but its also a gl that follows the lives of two adults, which is a little harder to find without being violently angsty or sexual.

The characters are adorably designed, with differentiating body types and faces that make the art style very squishy but not generic. It doesn't over-saturate the fact they're gay, but its important to the story and the characters themselves. For such a quick read, it's ... funny, well paced, and satisfying. I just really think this is cute and a perfect read for when you're feeling cold or lonely.
