The ML in both mangas is always teasing the FL without showing his real intentions with the FL being always flustrated and swayed by his actions.. 

Both wholesome school romances without much drama. In Chigira-kun, the ML is popular and seemingly cold, while the FL tries to get over a past heartbreak. In Shujinkou Nikki, the ML is more open and kind, and FL is a reclusive outsider. 

Both titles are about overcoming unrequited love. FL's first love ends in disaster, which leads them to consider ML as a love interest. Yamada (the character) is initially cold and softens over time, while Chigira (the character) is affectionate throughout.
