Synopsis

Average college student Totonou Kunou's usual morning making curry gets interrupted when police officers come knocking at his door, questioning him about his whereabouts on the night before. As it turns out, one of his classmates was found dead near his house—and the police take Totonou to the station as a prime suspect for murder.

Having no close relations with the victim, Totonou claims he is innocent since he had no reason to harm him. But when a witness places him at the crime scene, he must remain under custody longer than he first anticipated. When he starts to interact more with the members of the police department, they realize Totonou is no ordinary suspect. Although a bit hard to deal with, Totonou is also highly observant—as he guesses each of the members' personal dilemmas with just a handful of clues.

With evidence against him continuing to pile up, Totonou must use his deductive skills to solve the mystery behind his classmate's death to clear his name and find out who is framing him.

I. Intro:

I am very picky, especially when it comes to detective series, which does me no good when there are so few mangas belonging to this genre. I went into Mystery to Iu nakare with no expectations, and came out with it being my favorite series to date (in only 12 chapters, at that!).

I would say Mystery to Iu nakare is fairly episodic, and were I to describe it in a few words they would be: profound, engrossing, and enlightening.

I’m writing this review, in the hopes that even one person decides to pick it up and give it a try.

Preliminary (12/? eps)
Totonou Kunou is a quirky college kid who just wants to be left alone. Despite his unassuming exterior, he's insanely smart and perceptive. But Totonou isn't a bigheaded genius, he's just an introverted student who really likes curry and really, really wants to be left alone.

Every story arc presents a situation that Totonou gets dragged into unwillingly, with a quandary he has to unravel. He collects observations over the course of each chapter that lead him to the truth behind the mystery. His truth bombs are impossible to predict and yet make so much sense every time. And that's because the mangaka seeds the ...

Abstract: 7/10, The story and the writing is very good but the art is messy and poor in some chapters, the manga can be better if the author improves his art.

For the fans of mystery or cases of murder this manga is a must read, but that is not my case. Although, i enjoyed until the chapter 12 because is interesting after all; my only problem is the art and the style of the work in general. Sometimes is clean and relaxing but other times is really messy and painful to see, however i believe that there is space for improvement for the author (as ...
