"Theseus no Fune", written by Toshiya Higashimoto, was a pleasant surprise for me. In my exploration of manga, I was keen to read this manga, not only to discover the author, but above all because it has had very good critical feedback in France. Really? It was justified!

Although the beginning felt a little bit rushed, I feel like this was one of the top mangas of 2017 (this is my first review of a manga, so it may not be a great review):
story: The story took place in a small village in Hokkaido. At first glance, the story seems rather banal and not very captivating.
However, as we read, we discover the story of Shin Tamura who seeks to discover who his father really was and what really happened. The latter will then express doubts and helplessness through time travel ( which I find in this manga is really well done , without having a repetition of the story ) The atmosphere at my reading is worthy of a real police investigation . The reader is then totally immersed in history, always wanting to look for more clues that would solve the mystery . Frankly after each chapter end, I could not ... |
