Here's my take after reading the initial chapter of the raw Grashros by Muneyuki Kaneshiro (Story) and Akeji Fujimura, (Art).

The moment that I saw the cover page of this manga caught my attention, it is resonating the feel of Takehiko Inoue's Vagabond but with a primal feel being set during the period of cro-magnons 30,000 years ago.

The story mainly focuses on the birth of the child that will go against destiny: Akuu. It may sound cliche but it totally works for me

Immediately, the story brings us to its primitive universe where everything is stripped to its bare basics. Everything is well drawn and the art ... does not separate from the narrative of the story and it feels cohesive.

The characters are easy to identify and differentiate from each other which is a great thing since it shows us that each of the characters is well thought out and researched for this story.

It was after reading the initial chapter of this story that I realized that it was created by a combo mangaka. I love combos!

With that being said I will give Grashros initial chapter 9 volga horns out of 10.

Grashros was that kind of manga that fooled everyone by the book cover of the five volumes.

The story begins with the premise of having happened 30,000 years in the past and follows the story of the character Akuu, the cursed child, born during the night of a blood moon, said to bring calamity upon all, and his attempt to fight destiny.

I ask myself this question before I start reading a new story of manga: - What is the purpose of reading; of the story itself?

In general, the characters work and the reader grows along with them, namely the children. With this, the story grows at ... an incredible rate to a point where it seems that for the manga not to be cancelled, the artist drew in a rush to finish this particular work (in much the same way that happened to Tite Kubo when he needed to finish Bleach at the end of vol.74), so I don't need to say more.

The biggest problem with this five-volume series is that everything Akuu does has happened in other stories, which means there is no originality. I don't understand why non-renowned artists in the industry use a form of writing that doesn't work for them, being independent (where 90% of readers outside Japan don't know them).

The story had a lot of potentials but time was tight to draw 50 chapters of an original story. I repeat, original. The Japanese manga publishing market is not ready to leave the comfort zone and this is one of the thousands of examples where the market is damaged, artists leave with a bad reputation and everything turns into a snowball. When the protagonist's purpose is revenge, then the artists must show that feeling.
Of course, not everything is bad since I became a big fan of the art of artist Akeji Fujimura. I will probably read more of his works.

I can't really judge the story as it really doesn't provide you with much currently. Unlike series like To Your Eternity the pacing for this manga is quite slow intentionally. Its really hard to form an opinion about this series as really nothing has happened its all set up however i will do my best.

Art is great, the environments are well polished, just being a weekly manga the art is quite expectational it looks better than manga artist that do monthly.

Characters are fine, not enough character development to really judge its no vinland saga or berserk but it does have fun characters but i ... can see it going bad fast.

Enjoyment a really quick read, because its not dialogue heavy to can pretty much read it really fast like the black clover effect.

ohh boy what am i going to write about this manga... First i want warn you guys about this review, becuz' i am an amateur 'bout these kind of things, anyway lets get start.

First The STORY
The plot is too simple and too predictable, but it makes me laugh and think about the situation that we are going through today. There are many references to our Present day. Like there are vegans, feminists, rebels and religions. And it shows us that they can't live together and when they split the clan to four other clans, they just killed them selves, anyway the message that ... the manga wants to give is DO NOT SPLIT OR FIGHT WITH YOUR OWN PEOPLE. You have to accept the other people even he or she is thinking the opposite way of you are thinking, you have to respect OTHER people or otherwise the enemy is going to kill all of you bla bla bla.

The Characters
Characters are not too deep(actually thats a gud thing 'cuz i don't want to dig a backstory of an character. I am an simple man, I see manga I reading it) . The main character wants revenge, the Other character wants to be stronger than any other creature, Vegans are secretly barbarian- ehm anyway and Some characters wants to sleep with a woman who got big oppai.
