I don't write reviews but since there are none for this, I will give it a try. The series has been completed and finished publishing with a total of 9 volumes, although EN fan translations only currently go up to volume 5. I had to read Chinese fan translations to get to the final volume.
The world takes place in a setting where magic and 5 different races exist, with mankind being led to their victory by their hero. However, the world was suddenly overwritten into one where that hero did not exist, resulting in the defeat of the human race. In this world, no one

remembers the original world or the existence of the MC. We follow the MC as he tries to uncover the secrets of the world and find a way out of this predicament.
Story (9/10):
This LN has has fantasy and action elements. There may be some minor harem-like elements, but they only seem to be there just for comedic purposes to serve as a short break between major events, and serve minimal purpose and relevance to the story. The MC has an extremely powerful weapon, but it by no means makes him invincible. Rather than giving the MC constant powerups, the story focuses more on convincing and working with others to overcome obstacles.
The world building and plot twists are very well done and explained as it makes great use of foreshadowing and suspense, constantly leaving us fragments of clues that will eventually be put together to uncover the truth of the world. Sometimes characters seemingly do irrational things and some contradictions made me feel like there were plot holes, but most are eventually explained after we get more pieces of the puzzle (sometimes several volumes later).
The novel is packed with content relevant to the main plot with little filler, without lengthy character backstories. This concise nature of the story allows it to focus more on the main plot, but also leaves less time for character development for less important characters.
The ending was done well, but the last arc was a little rushed in my opinion.
Characters (7/10):
Most characters are interesting and/or lovable, especially those close to the main cast, although they are nothing too special (slightly generic). We get to see the main cast and important characters slowly change their way of thinking as the story progresses. Little attention is given to more minor, but it seems intentional in order to focus more on worldbuilding rather than characters.
Enjoyment (10/10):
The story is short (compared to most other light novels) but enjoyable. I was constantly hooked in each volume of the LN since there were little filler.
Overall (9/10)
One of my favourite light novels and does not fall into the trap of overstaying its welcome. The story places great emphasis on progressing the main plot but the pace is a little fast, resulting in the lack of exploration into some characters and the short ending. I personally think that the novel could be better with 1 or 2 more volumes to slow down the pace slightly and give more time for character development. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the journey and would recommend it for people who are looking for a finished "no-nonsense" and relatively short LN, with a focus on worldbuilding.
Side Note: As of writing this review MAL did not update this novel as "completed" so it ended up being marked as a preliminary review, even though I have read the full completed novel.
