This light novel is a bonus story from the main franchise. You read this or not, won't matter anyway. But i encourage you to read because its filled with our beloved characters everyday life. You will know more about how they enjoy living on a seaside. Every characters have their own spotlight chapter and its cute. Feels like reading an official fanfic. There's not many drawing, only chibis characters. They redraw Aqours members cutely. Though its kinda lacking some characters personality. Maybe because its all written in text and we can't see their face expression.

As mentioned in the synopsis, the Love Live Sunshine SID novels are booklets around 20 pages each sold with the blu-rays of the series. The first three volume are individual stories about the 2nd years, the 1st years and the 3rd years respectively while the last volume is about aqours preparing for a mini-concert during their summer vacation.

On one hand it’s hard to be harsh on them because they don’t have any ambition other than being a bonus for the fans but you can tell there’s barely any effort put into it, they’re most often just summaries of events happening in anime, retelling of elements ...
