Recommendations

These two works present themselves as typical shounen manga, and they manage to be good at it, but what makes them similar for me is the fact that, despite both being quite inventive and having a 'not so grounded' style (even considering the rest of their respective series), they max this aspect up as the manga goes on to the point of reaching a ridiculously insane level. Even though reading the original Getter Robo from 70s is good for context, I think that Go can stand on it's own as most important things are explained there.

Both contain mecha with combination changes and lots of super power. Multiple pilot mecha, both dealing against a enemy thats non human -Difference Dancougar BURN is way more ecchi, while Getter Robo Go is more destruction. Both are manly manga for manly men who loves super robots!
