Opinion & Informal
Art: 6/10
The art was fine. The anatomy and proportions checked out. There was maybe one or two impact shots, the most memorable one was Misuzu's service shot towards the end of the manga which was nice to see but wasn't too great art-wise. No specific focus on or showcases of nature, panoramics, or picture-esq scenes. Gag reactions or comedy facial expressions were interesting, but I didn't really get a laugh out of most of them. Overall, the art was fine for a 4-koma and I didn't really see or remember any parts that looked good or worth noting.

Progression: 5/10
It was a gag 4-koma that felt alright. There wasn't a lot of flair like panel-cutting but then again there isn't a lot to work with considering the nature of 4-koma formats. There was a good use of supporting tones and background population to keep the panels not feeling empty. Moreover, the visual clarity and progression of what was going on between panels was good enough that I didn't feel like I was missing information or that something was lost in translation. However, overall, I didn't particularly like the fickleness of the pacing and how something could feel like it was dragged on or how something could have used more focus such as moments that were supposed to develop the two MC's relationship.
Characters: 6/10
The characters were fine. The supporting characters didn't feel flat either and had their own quirks and funny moments. Character designs were on point too, the MC's and supporting characters all had their own unique points to differentiate themselves from one another and make them fairly recognizable or memorable; Misuzu had braided side-burns, Sugisaki looked like a creep all the time, and some of their otaku buddies had a distinct hairclip-hairstyle...etc. Their dynamics were fun usually, but that was mostly the first half for me. It did get a bit boring and I didn't get too engaged with their conversations later into the manga.
Plot & Development: 5/10
Although it was a gag 4-koma, I thought the pacing and direction was all over the place so much so that I couldn't settle into it. There are definitely 4-koma out there that can have a great story and engaging plot, but I felt that this manga wasn't one of them. The speedy pacing and fickleness to keep any sort of direction made it hard for me to see what this manga was trying to go for. Just based on the afterwords from the author, I get that he was trying to go for a story in which Misuzu slowly changes because of the people who become her friends, but I thought that the moments in the story that would have really hit a home run with this sort of direction were either interrupted by some stupid side-plot like all those bits with the student council president or weren't taken further to make those moments feel fulfilling to me. Overall, I felt that this manga spent too much time trying to work in stupid comedy acts like the StuCo president or the ghost-grandma arcs that it detracted from many of the more engaging moments between Misuzu and her newfound friends; I preferred the earlier, much better, interactions between Misuzu and her friends and not the annoyingly dragged out and reused ghost-grandma and StuCo revenge stuff. The comedic narrative focusing on a person slowly changing due to the people they care about should have had a larger focus in my opinion and the decision to attempt to incorporate more heavy-handed slap stick humor was what killed this manga for me.
Conclusion: 4/10
The conclusion didn't feel interconnected to the final few chapters and especially so for the final arc which was the StuCo revenge bit. The conclusion felt pretty abrupt and I wasn't really satisfied with events leading up to it. The conclusion had a fine send-off and reiterated what I complained about plot-direction-wise, but I feel that it didn't back any of that whatsoever. The reason I didn't like the conclusion because it honestly just felt lame and low-effort considering how much I liked the early parts of this manga.
Overall: 5/10
The introductory plot direction at the start of the manga and the engaging character dynamics in its early half are really nice and were usually somewhat funny. However, the later half of the manga in my opinion fell short as I thought it tried too hard to insert wild and weird scenarios like grandma-Stands or a ripped StuCo president hellbent on revenge. I liked the simple conversations and gags between Misuzu and her buddies, not the annoying echo's of the StuCo president and how he was wronged by Sugisaki, not the Stand battles, and not the developments of characters that had nothing to do with Misuzu or her own growth as a character.
Is this supposed to be 20 chapters or 350? As the release schedule went, this manga released pages as individual chapters. Regardless if this manga was simply compiled during volume releases, which counts? What about things like Tomo-chan is a girl? I wish there was some standardization for manga that have a chapters released like this.

if you are searching something with short chapters you may like this one.
characters aren't really that great but they do extremly well their function wich is making you laugh and have a good time wich for me is enough. The story is average even for a slice of life not bad not good, but a good read for those times were you can't just watch a full episode thanks to it being a 4-koma format, but due to that it losses a lot of potential for a better development. Art is also average, better that i expected tho and its very catchy to the eye even ... |
