The story consists of accidents purely made for my enjoyment, it's not in-depth but it does build on itself with new protagonists and heroines. Each character, however, is only the top layer of their personalities, which in this case I would not claim to be a bad thing as they are easily distinguishable (other than the common theme of large boobs and ass). Keep in mind that the story here is second to the art, which so good and perverted that I am now the largest disappointment in my friend group.

Why do I like this story?

Because it's just different. And it is done so well.

This story is a perfect merger of comedy and romance and echi in a way in which they perfectly mesh.

It's a lot of things done really well though not the best at any element, but it mixes everything perfectly.

It has decent romance, decent comedy, decent echi, decent fluff, decent light hearted cuteness, underwhelming drama, and decent pacing per chapter.

But while each individual element is at best decent, they all compliment each other perfectly and are melded into something unique while having absolutely nothing original in it. ...

It's satisfying as a full meal and a snack and fits ones cravings well.

And while the individual elements themselves aren't overly great, they are put together so well that it makes this story amazing.

Even with each element lacking, they all complement each other well in a way other stories just can't match.

While other stories usually do a few elements really well and decent at most, this one is only full of decent stuff except they perfectly make an amazing master piece of a meal.

Ah, I wasn't counting the art though. This art was amazing. A 10/10.

It's rare to find a story this great and perfect.

It's echi without taking away from the cuteness. It's minor (like super minor) drama works well with the romance. It's fun without being serious but it's funny without being too funny.

If I say this series had a flaw, it's that we don't have enough.

Ok ok.. I know ecchi genre has gotten a lot of hate lately. You know what, I sorta understand that though I don't really hate ecchi. If you absolutely hates ecchi, don't bother reading this. Why are you here in the first place? Anyway,

Story : 8
The story is... simple and unexpectable. The story is super laid-back with no drama, no serious plot and no love triangle. Like the title suggest why are you here, sensei? Will make you wonder why is she there. Don't worry, you will always get your answer.

Character : 8
The first pair, Ichirou Satou and Kana Kojima.
I really really love this ... pairing. We got an average high school student and a devilish teacher. The high school student isn't really interesting, he just your average high school student. He's a bit dense and take any opportunity when he can. The teacher is... cute. She is your mean high school teacher that you would run the other way if meet eyes. But, she is very cute when it comes to certain situations. I will let you find it out yourself.
Second pair, Rin Suzuki and Mayu Matsukaze.
This pair is a bit meh. It's a tall student with scary face that had trouble making friends(I never heard that before) and a teacher whom trying to help the student making friend. Nothing very special happens except the teacher always blush and the student is very dense.

Going to preface this by saying that this is a review that I consider impossible to write without sounding like a virgin so I would like to clarify that I am not a virgin and that this review will definitely (probably) be valuable and worthwhile to the world at large.

I watched the anime for this a while back and thoroughly enjoyed it in a way that I really do not enjoy trashy bullshit ecchi. Most are very fucking boring and not worth watching, but Nankoko (I'm gonna call it that because it's the official abbreviation and typing out Nande Koko Ni Sensei Ga or Why ... The Hell Are You Here, Teacher each time is going to give me a stroke) flips the script by playing far more into the comedic aspect and falls more into absurdist humor, which I personally jive with quite a lot. There is an absolutely batshit sexual encounter in every single chapter, and I can safely say that maybe 5 chapters involve even one party initiating it intentionally. It's all exceedingly stupid mishaps that make the author sound absolutely veritably insane if you try to put them into words, and to me, these kept up being interesting enough that I never really got bored while reading and was able to get through the entire runtime without just pushing through a particularly bad section.

Aside from just the general structure and how that's executed, the main pull of the series is the different pairings that occur every 10 chapters. To be frank, while the comedic situations serve as the backbone and make it so that the entire series has a consistent quality no matter what pairing is up there, the level of enjoyment you can get out of the chapter sets is seriously variable on how much you enjoy the pairings. Trying to go at it objectively, though, it really depends on how strong the dynamics between the characters end up being, and how strongly their positions end up putting up a wall between them (which is a concept I think was really only seriously explored with the idol girl and her boyfriend.)

This is probably personal bias, but I think the first four pairs that feature in the anime are still the strongest, with the weakest of them being the one with the sporty girl. All have very simple but strong dynamics when put next to each other, and as those four are basically the only ones that happen at the exact same point in the timeline, I thought it was very fun to see how they overlapped with each other.

It gets a bit rockier after the first 40 chapters, in my opinion. The 5th pair with the inventor girl and Saya-obsessed boy is a big drop off in quality in my opinion, with the introduction of two love interests being undercut by the fact that there's barely any taboo involved, leading to less interesting dynamics between the three. Turns into a very basic love triangle series carried by hilarity.

The 6th couple with the poltergeist girl brings the original concept back stronger and is probably the closest to the quality of the original 4 in my eyes. Quite enjoyable with a pretty fun pairing.

The 7th couple featuring the idol girl and runner boy are serviceable but I found myself forgetting about them almost instantly. There are good twists and turns and it manages to keep interesting, but I didn't particularly care for either of them.

After chapter 70, it gets really fucky. Each pair up to this point got 10 chapters, which was a short but sweet amount of time to develop their relationships with funny moments dispersed throughout. Chapter 71 marks the start of a 30-chapter arc with a shota boy protagonist, where the first 10 chapters are made to develop his relationships with two girls, and then both get 10 extra each in a sort of route system. Shota boy is arguably the weakest protagonist in the entire series, which makes it ridiculous that he gets so much screentime, and while his character and story and other characters in his arc are more developed and interesting than other arcs, those facts alone just don't save it enough to make it worthwhile. The inventor girl has a far more interesting dynamic with him and actually manages to drop the "Nande Koko Ni Sensei Ga" line at the emotional part of her last chapter which is a feat so fucking funny and peak fiction-tier that I can't believe they didn't save that fucking banger for the last chapter of the manga in general. The other teacher is okay and less interesting but the fact that she's okay with him because his dick is the size of a pinky finger and she's scared of men because of Tanaka's monster cock is the right amount of absurdist bullshit.

The final pair (so far) involving the manga writer and editor gets points for clever use of the term Sensei which really should have been taken advantage of earlier, and they're quite cute together.

I only wrote this review because I saw that the manga was on hiatus for quite a while now, and there wasn't a review covering the entire thing up to the point it dropped off. I definitely enjoyed my time with it quite a lot and it never left me bored, even if I don't think writing a review this long was deserved for something I do not consider even that great. However, I really do love Soborou-sensei's style of comedy writing, and I'm very glad to see it back in his new series "Love & Peace," but I do hope that he eventually returns to this manga. It may be too experimental for its own good and it may not exactly be a masterpiece, but it filled the absurdist comedy hole in my Gintoki-shaped heart.

"Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?" is a pretty basic ecchi manga, but an enjoyable one at that... It may not have a lot of sense at first, but hear me out.

Ecchi manga have the tendency of going for "lewd scenes" first and "story and characters" second. Soborou (the autor of this manga) decides to make a more unique story, giving their characters a "development" of sorts (although it is pretty basic), with each volume having a different "protagonist couple" (but don´t worry, the characters of the previous volumes will still make appearances as cameos). Being that said, the story isn´t really that deep or refreshing ... for the genre, but it tries to atleast have a developing story, and that is much appreciated.

In terms of art, Soborou´s art is really good for both lewd and non-lewd scenes. I especially like how he draws their characters in chibi form or when they are over-reacting. The cover art for each volume is also great, presenting the teacher the volume will be about in a nice, colored, and well drawn illustration.

Overall, this is an enjoyable manga as long as you don´t expect it to be a masterpiece. That said, I would recommend reading it when your alone, since the manga doesn´t have the censorship the anime does and has more lewd scenes, so you have been warned.

This manga is very enjoyable for those who are looking for ecchi and romance between female teachers and male students. It has a mix of light comedy, rare scenes of light drama, and most of the times easy going moments so you can enjoy its ecchiness at ease. And I was really loving it (easy 8/10), until....

... untill chapter 71 started. And no, it´s not about it suddenly going dark; not about suddenly changing its content or anything like that. It´s about:

- It´s about how the new arc starting in chapter 71 is very, very bad. Like, it´s far away the quality of all ... the previous chapters / arcs.

It´s boring, uninteresting even ecchi wise, and on top of that the guy is a very boring SHOTA.
Sorry my words from now on, but I just feel like making this clear: No, I am not a shota hater. But he REALLY IS uninteresting and boring and the culprit for making this arc so unbearable.
It´s one of those shotas who would yell after being seeing nude "kya~ what you doing here, sensei~!" *covers his micro -literally- weewee with his hands* and he´s also not much aware that those awesome teachers are all over him.

This manga works in a pattern that each 10 chapters a new couple/arc is introduced. But that pattern is no more after starting the new arc in chapter 71. That very own (and only) horrible arc is getting more than 20 chapters!! I.e. it started in chapter 71 and is still ongoing even after chapter 91 ended (which was supposed to be a new arc starting in the chapters 81 and 91). Also, it´s the only arc with more than one route! Sadly.

As you can see, all the special treatments are unfortunately being used exactly in the worst arc; author-san nourishing that is making me go crazy in a bad way.

Conclusion: If you don´t want to give this work a very bad score. I suggest you to STOP reading after finishing chapter 70. After that it´s a torture and you´ll feel like punching the screen.
UNLESS you are a shota lover.

I have never got so irritated like this to the point I would have to make a review for this. The fact that I was enjoying a lot this ecchi manga but suddenly turned out to be this dissapoiting.

I sincerely don´t know what author-san has in his mind and why he´s doing that, but he managed to make love become hate.

tl;dr: A very cute yet very lewd manga that breaks all laws of physics for the sake of showing glorious oppai. Worthwhile read if you're into cute wholesome couples, but not worth if you aren't a fan of older women/younger men or student-teacher relationships

Story:

The manga is mostly arc-based focusing on a specific student-teacher pairing, usually for around 4-5 chapters. Each chapter follows relatively the same plot, with said student encountering the teacher in a random place, which follows by the teacher miraculously getting herself into a very lewd position, usually with the student somehow in the mix of things. Laws of literally anything science do ... not apply here, as clothes come off faster than one's boner while watching Boku no Pico. From there, our student/teacher in a tight squeeze, in one way or another end up stimulating the teacher, whether it be through her nipples or genitalia until she eventually climax's. Honestly this manga is very borderline hentai at times.

But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't darn cute. There's pretty much none of the bullshit romance drama cliches you see in most stories, no rapey vibes, nothing. Underneath its doujin style plot development is a relative wholesome romance story. Most couple pairings also feature chapters in which said pairings actually met in the past, as opposed to being first time meeting/falling in love.

Of course, the variety of different hentai-esc situations can be off-putting for some, especially since it can be really weird how something like the slightest of tugs can fully strip the women. Plus, if one doesn't enjoy seeing female characters being put into reallly embarrassing situations it can also be a turn-off. That and most of the stories have repetitive features to them, which occurs more often than not.


Art:

The art is fantastic for this style of manga. Characters are well-drawn (in some cases the art even resembles Senryuu Shoujo at times), sometimes they go into chibi form at times which is also cute, and we can't forget the lewd aspect. All the marvelous boobs and buts are well-drawn, alongside the blushing and embarrassment. The characters themselves have nice designs to them, and they fit well for each other

In talking of the cast, we'd have to divide them into 2 separate topics, the guys and the girls

Girls:

Thankfully for the sake of the series, the women cast all display different types of personalities, although they do have one thing in common. That is cuteness. Each character follows a different character trope, ranging from the quiet type to the angel type to even the childhood friend type. One of the things I like about this series, is that each character has their own very cute moments to them (albeit when they're getting lewded), despite the fact that a lot of these tropes are found in characters that are usually massive dickheads to the MC. There's not much development to any of them, most is just ranging from "oh hey look my student" to "I think I'm in love with you" at the end of the arc. If you're looking for a "realistic" (whatever that means) development of feelings, then you might want to shy away from them

Also afaik none of the girls are flat chested so if you're all for #flatisjustice then gg, this ain't the series for you

I think I've said it a lot already, but if I had to describe the series in 2 words it would be: wholesome lewd (romance). The 1st part is really what gets to me, I love the types of romances where there's little drama involved, and the couples all end up together happily. Plus, I'm a big fan of multiple couple series' which share the same setting (i.e., each story doesn't take place in different schools or something) so it's nice to see 1 couple that formed being mentioned in the arc of another couple. It'd be hard to say what I'd like to see more from this, maybe more afterward chapters as most of the couples' stories kinda die out after their arc is done, with the exception of a few chapters that tell a bit of the after story. Another thing is that I myself aren't a big fan of older women/younger men relationships, but I'm glad I decided to give this one a go despite that :P

I've read till chapter 69, and it might just stay that way.

Do you ever walk into a room and wonder, what the fuck is going on? If you dare to continue to read this "master piece", don't forget to bring a shotgun for pump and dump(not like that or like that). The story has various arcs where students woo teachers or the other way around. To these kids...we let them go because they are just horny. To these teachers..."Stop! You have violated the law! PAY THE COURT A FINE OR SERVE YOUR SENTENCE!" and then proceed to use that shotgun. And that is the story. ...

The Art style is wonderful. It reminds me of some very well made content found exclusively on not for kid sites. The characters are also like that of those not for kid sites. So I mean it is basically just not for kid like manga without the not for kid like part.

Clearly I enjoyed this manga but because of my 12 broken monitors, I would have to give this a 1 sausage out of 10 teachers.

I was hooked when I started reading after reading a bit more it got even better. I don't know if it's just me or not, but I only cared about the first teacher and students' story. I just found it more interesting (probably just me). I just didn't find the other pairs as enjoyable as the first one, after I read the first one I got kinda bored of it. I do feel like that the ecchi scenes were very well drawn (I don't know if the artist use to draw doujins or something, but they're good doujin quality). I feel like they should have ... given each couple more episodes. Overall this manga was very enjoyable in most of its moments, its characters were pretty good, and as I said before, I personally really liked the art style.
