This starts off with your typical high school setting, but the two main characters and their dialogue is stronger than usual.
Tomoki Yuuki is your typical delinquent... except he's not. He looks scary, and most students fear him, but he's sharp and witty, and he is respectful to those who deserve his respect. Oh, and he can fight. He's a smartass and a badass rolled into one. It's a strange mix, and in truth, it's hard to imagine such a guy in real life. But if you buy into the premise of his character, it's fine.
Touka Haruma is the little sister of Tomoki's best friend, Ike.
...
She's a bit cliche in character, playing the cool pretty girl on the outside but a bitch in truth. Still, her interactions with Tomoki make her enjoyable, especially in the beginning when she thinks she can steamroll Tomoki into submission using her charms, but she instead gets verbally bitchslapped several times by our protagonist.
Unfortunately, after a few chapters, a lot of the novelty of the characters and the story fade drastically. By chapter 17, it's come to a predictable trope which... I'm sure you can imagine what trope that is. However, the story isn't finished yet. There's still potential for unpredictable and maybe good stuff to come.
Looking forward to the next chapters.
