I adore this manga series! I never see anyone talk about it, but I think it is so sweet and funny. The art style is very cute, and the characters are very lovable.
The story follows the main character, Haruka, who wants to date and do fun college-aged things, but doesn't have the confidence to do so. She isn't familiar with fashion or make-up, and feels like these things are necessary in order to impress her crush. By chance, she meets someone named Hikaru, a very beautiful person with fantastic make-up skills. Hikaru helps Haruka learn about make-up, creating the start of a lovely friendship.

These characters are so lovable and funny. Haruka is a messy university student, but is very earnest and seems to trust her own heart well. Hikaru is a fashionable, kind person that is unexpectedly sassy and brutally honest.
I also love the story and themes in Cinderella Closet. There's a lot of nice messages about learning to open up to others, love yourself more, and build confidence in who you truly are. There's also an exploration of beauty, and what makes a person beautiful or lovable.
I think it is a great read and would recommend it to anyone who loves wholesome stories and things like fashion or make-up! :)
