First of all, the art and animation is lazy as heck! It's one of the cheapest and laziest series i've seen. I could probably draw each of the frames and i'm not even a good artist

Second, Yusuke is an ASSHOLE! I hate anyone who lifts people's panties and Yusuke doing it to Keiko is unforgivable and makes me hate him as a protagonist

Also, the show is way too violent and bloody for kids. This is apparently a KIDS anime (It even aired on Toonami back then) and there's lots of violence, scary imagery, and blood

The show is also super cheap looking. Most of the time the characters are just standing and its so sloppy looking. Compare it to modern anime, where everything looks a lot nicer and more effort is put into the art

Also, Yusuke is just such a jerk in general. The fact he acts perverted to Keiko and did something transphobic in one episode is sick and wrong!

Also, I don't get why there are girls who like the series since the series was made for boys. Apparently, there are girls who like it and that confuses me

This series should've honestly never existed. It also ripped off of Dragon Ball Z. The fact that the show has spirit energy and lots and lots of fighting makes it feel like a DBZ copycat!

There is a lot of content like this in almost every shounen out there, so I recommend that you don't watch anime like Naruto, BNHA, Bleach, Black Clover, etc.

The animation is simply normal for the time in which the anime was made, unless you miraculously created a time machine and went to the 90s, bringing current technologies to the animators of the time, so that they could then make a more elaborate animation.

Besides, anyone can like the series they want regardless of the genre, that doesn't mean anything nowadays, my 14-year-old sister is reading Berserk and has already watched Yu Yu Hakusho, by the way. About Yusuke, I never liked him much either, I prefer Kurama but honestly I've met hundreds of protagonists with much worse personalities than Yusuke.

I even agree with you about certain Animes not being made for children to watch and I even think that Takopii (which is being released this season) is a bit problematic and may end up not being very healthy for young children with psychological trauma and things like that, even so Yu Yu Hakusho is still considered moderate as an action and comedy Shounen so I don't see any problem here, the work will always be a classic Anime from the 90s and that has marked thousands of people over the years, just as all of Yoshihiro Yogashi-Sensei's works should be.
