| Just finished episode 1. So glad it turned out to be as good as the trailer made me hope it would. Animation isn't on par with Vinland Saga, but the serious feel of it is, also I'm sure the inquisitor's voice actor is from VS, too. If this keeps up, it's gonna be the sleeper hit of the season, like Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai was last season. Pls give it a chance, everyone. Finally an anime where adults don't look like taller children! |

| Funny fact: Turns out I watched episode 2 first, then episode 1, because it was wrongly numbered, lol. But it worked, because episode 1 just felt like I flashback that detailed Hubert who came and went in episode 2 :D Either way, good first two episodes. I really hope more people give this a chance. We need more serious stories in anime. |

| @black4all the OP ain't comparing Thorfinn to Rafal. He's just recommending the show to anyone who liked Vinland Saga, because the Historical Setting is somewhat similar. Also It's Dialogue Heavy Story, with many contradictory takes and thought provoking statements. We don't get much good Historical Seinen. Instead of misunderstanding why don't you watch it yourself. Cuz Your take on Rafal is actually Misleading, seems like you didn't understood the premise of the episode at all. Even though both are completely different, they share a similar theme. Ideologies of characters are also somewhat similar, as History wasn't any different in terms of People's Beliefs and perspectives. Both has a fictional story intertwined with Realism, portraying similar views on life, earth, heaven. But there sure are many Differences. I just noted few similarities from both series. Storywise they're different, Ambition of the Characters, the message the author conveys. |

I watched two first episodes and totally agree with that. Propobly best series of the season, besides Re:zero and Uzumaki

| I don't really see how being serious and historical makes them remotely similar. This has a premise ten times more interesting than Vinland Saga. |
| @black4all It's basically a Recommendation post. That's how recommendations work. Not everything gonna be same, on this case the story. It might not be as intense as Vinland but the tone of the show is somewhat dark. the OP stated "Come here and watch it, if you like serious stories like Vinland Saga! The OP ain't misleading Anyone, he is recommending based on the TONE of the show. In that way, it would be disrespectful to Vagabond if you recommend Vinland Saga to anyone who enjoyed Vagabond. Both story has fairly similar Philosophical ideologies and motive. But in terms of Art and Introspection, Vagabond is Miles ahead than Vinland, and in a better way. Thanks, if picking on the show wasn't your motive. I guess you get it now. |
